Here's my UO: why do SAs and H corporate want to drive traffic in the store, but there's no inventory when you get there! Yet, the website has way more stock. H, make it make sense!!! :panic: haha
So true. And only at H.com do you get your shipping confirmation and straight after that you get blocked because you've clicked on their page too often. Nowadays your device even gets checked and has to be approved just by clicking on the site. Then you have to do that stupid puzzle-move before you're allowed to put something in your cart. And then you get blocked even after making the purchase. I feel like a criminal buying from them.

Yeah, for such a large prestigious company like H, the website is ridiculous! So many twists and turns you have to go through.

And their inventory control is lackluster, at best. Why list something as available, then the moment you click on it, it says "item not available"---wtf!! I'm sure they can do a better job of real-time inventory updates. Do they just want to TEASE us to insanity??

And adding more gripes about the website and inventory: yesterday I was browsing the site and saw duplicate listings of at least 10 different items. I clicked back and forth on the items (trying to find a minor difference) just to make sure I wasn't crazy or missing something, lol. The descriptions / colors / H product codes were identical, but the only diference was that each item's duplicate listing had additional verbiage.

Come on Hermès, you can do better!! Why even have a website at all??

This is a very popular opinion :)

The website has always been a joke.
I remember the EU scarf website that had every CW pictured. You couldn't buy from the site, but wow was it a great resource, as they are now totally opaque about what CWs will be available where, if at all.

All my same comments. Why can’t they make a true cross body bag! I love my Jysperie but if it is closed, well, please do not call me or text me and I can’t buy anything. Because everything is under the cover strap that is secure for battle. No one can get in, specially me. I would even be ok with the jsuperie with one back pocket for cell phone. and a smaller version of any H bag does not make it a true cross body. I mentioned all this to my sa and sm a while back and it was suggested I could go horizon.

have been in search of the perfect crossbody for 30 years across ALL brands) I ditto your unpopular opinion
Thank you for saving me $$$ I had been wanting the mini Jypsiere but not anymore.
UO - geta is a great crossbody especially with the canvas strap

I love patina, slouch, and imperfections in the natural grain of leather which is of course an unpopular opinion

@Christofle kindly alerted me to this article to share which may have an impact on the appearance of H bags in the future (and possibly whether my viewpoint will become more popular IDK :

Thoughtful article; I'm already on team slouch/natural grain for many reasons, including aesthetics, but it's worth wondering whether consumers, as they become better educated on these issue, will make different choices.

@Christofle, and of course I went wandering around the rest of that site, lol!

You think they could filter out bots etc so that only real people are buying.

At some point in time, Hermès’ opacity (continual untruths / leading buyers on) and brand experience causes you to abandon the brand. I am there. I recently was traveling in Beverly Hills and needed a small wallet. The choice was Goyard, Hermès, and LV. I walked into Goyard, chose a style, chose a color, paid and was out the door in 20 minutes. I rolled my eyes at the thought of walking into H and dealing with SA attitude and stock issues.

I have all the scarves, QBs, and H bags that I need. It used to be that Christine Lagarde was an unofficial face of the brand. Now, it’s the Kardashians. And if Kardashian style is your thing, great. But it’s not mine. Hermès has moved on from people like me. It’s only natural for me to move on too.

The workmanship has degraded over time. Hermès craftsperson’s have less than half the time to make the bags now, than they did prior to the 2010s. I have to think there have been shortcuts in materials quality too.

I now commission bespoke bags with Peter Nitz. I get the style, leather and size I want. The process is seamless. The workmanship puts Hermès’ to shame.

I do not regret my decision to part ways with Hermès. If I see something in the resale market that I like, then I’ll buy it. But I am done with the stores.

BTW, I got my first H scarf in 1978.
Totally agree. I miss the old times too (and when your DP used to be a baby elephant :P). The current MO of the brand and the clientele that attracts is completely off-putting.

I don't think there was a EVER a time that Hermes was a classic conservative, quiet luxury brand. They had always been keen innovators, ie when they brought out the bolide, zips were kind of a new thing, a bit racy even. Jane Birkin was anything but conservative and quiet. Her work was banned by the Pope for heavens sake! Look at this current advert - bare midriff and all.
