Agree. I don’t like that the interior is unfinished.

Here’s my latest unpopular opinion. I don’t like the constance in epsom. Over time or if you’re not super careful the bag gets striations along the top front and back of the bag. And everytime you open the bag there is more and more creasing. For an expensive bag why does it do this? Why do I need to baby this bag?
The epsom constance isn't the only H bag that seems "fragile" or need extra care when using. I still to clemence or swift if possible. It makes no sense to me to sell a 12K bag that needs to be babied when used, but that is seen quite a bit with H bags.

So here’s another unpopular opinion. Hermes bags are not as great quality as everyone says they are. one assumes when they spend so much on a bag it will be top quality and we’re lead to believe the items are top quality. But I’ve experienced enough issues to be disappointed - epsom bags with chipping and creases and btw why is the constance strap so flimsy, swift leather with what looks like very small cracks - I’m told that’s normal but it doesn’t look normal, Avalon blankets and pillows that look a decade old with little use, togo leather that’s extremely dry making the bag look simply dead and dull to name just a few issues.

Some of you have told me privately that your kelly flaps get bad creasing or the flap edges flip up over time and you have to oh so cautiously open and close the bag. When I buy a bag I want to be able to freely use it. I’m not rough on my bags but I’m not going to baby them.

No one really ever seems to talk about the quality issues. Have we just been brainwashed into believing that H can do no wrong? And we hesitate to speak about the issues because it might impact the boutique relationship. As I reflect on these things, I think about how I want to be more careful and intentional about future purchases.

I will say that the scarf people DO talk about deteriorating quality. It's real.
And my unpopular opinion is that the "forever" scarves (a reissue in only one color of a classic design) should be priced as they were when first issued LOL

Chypres are the Hermes remake of Birkenstocks... I can't help thinking of it this way each time I see someone in chypres. Can't be helped 😒
All leather Birkenstocks are better made with more attention to sizing, comfort, and detailing

If you are wearing H RTW and carrying an H bag, i go all out and wear H shoes and accessories. While the head to toe look is nice on others, on me it’s overwhelming.

I once was all decked out in H RTW, bag, leather bracelet and shoes when I went to my H store to collect some items. My SA commented that I looked like a H Christmas tree 🎄... totally wasn't expecting such a comment especially from my H SA!!!

My latest opinion is regarding the Kelly En Desordre.
I went to look at one in the flesh today having been curious about the design.
Once again I found myself disappointed by the choice of strap for the design of the bag ( I've previously mentioned that I find some Hermes bags let down by the choice of strap).
The bag style is quirky and I feel due to this best for casual use (this is just my opinion-you may beg to differ) However the strap allows it just to be worn as a shoulder bag.
The strap length is actually quite short and although I'm only 5'3 It looked like it was hanging at a length suited to a much more classic design like the Trim for instance.
The strap is not adjustable and I felt due to the design it really needed that option so it could be worn cross body or adjusted to suit varying armhole depths when worn over a coat or jacket as a shoulder bag.
I hope I'm making sense here.
I didn't take any photos whilst trying but due to the strap length the design just felt ill thought out
I cant imagine this bag being a big success

The asymmetrical Kelly En Desordre is giving me headache.
Agree with @maxroxxherhandbags and @Purrsey. I saw the bag in person today... looks terrible. I guess people buy this bag because it is a Kelly ____ . 🤷 Just because it is a Kelly and maybe it is in a blue box. Whatever... not up my alley.

I’m weirded out by the kelly doll bags- they seem juvenile to me- can’t imagine a full grown woman actually carrying one?

The twilley handles are too cute and precious. Just let the bag be the bag.
Agree. To me Hermes is all about elegance... the Kelly doll while cute is not that elegant for a lady. I heard that it fits much less than a MKII.

I am not sure if this is an unpopular opinion but...I like the Kelly more than I like the Birkin, and... I hate the fact that these bags were named after actresses. Yes, I do know that Grace Kelly became a princess, but still, the bag already existed and its name was Sac à Dépêches, why did Hermes feel the need to rename it 'Kelly'? I think I know why, but the change of name is something that bothers me. I am fully aware that my statement makes me sound like a snob but I think that in some ways, I am a snob.
PS: For the record, I adore the performing arts and all artistic expression, so I have nothing against actors/actresses, it is just that I don't see why bags should be named/renamed after them. Oh, and Jane Birkin wasn't really a Birkin fan, therein lies the irony.
Unpopular opinion: this is precisely why I think all the brouhaha around Hermès being popular with influencers and reality stars and them not being “worthy” of the brand (which seems to be the underlying message, admitted or not), is ridiculous.

WOW, what a run-on sentence! But back to my opinion. Hermès showed that they are not above seeking hype/mainstream star power when they renamed the Kelly. Sometimes I feel like Hermès shoppers hold the brand to a more exclusive standard than it clearly holds itself.
