My Evelyn TPM is the only bag I own that I can wear into the Verizon Center in DC due to bag size restrictions. As a season ticket holder to the Capitols, I go there a lot. At least until Ovechkin beats Gretzky’s record (most goals scored).

At every game, I see a miffed man running to his parked car with his wife’s or girlfriend’s or daughter’s too large bag. The bag lockers fill up quickly.

The Evelyn fits my phone, keys, and Calvi.
I love that you still call it the Verizon Center. At the last name change I reverted to thinking of it as the MCI Center for a while.

Good Lord that is even more insane
Some time ago, there were various articles about the line situation. In addition to people hiring "place sitters," apparently there'd be a mob scene when the doors opened, with many people rushing the front of the line. Many people don't mind the practice of paying line sitters, which is popular in NYC. I once was 8th in line at one of the old NYC sales, only to find myself at about 30th when all the ladies who were lunching swarmed on one person who had been paid to sit in line for them -- they all got in with the first group and grabbed all the "good" stuff. I had to do with their rejects. So I guess I object to line sitters, now and then.

Old comedy routine:
Customer: I would like to buy a Birkin.
SA: I’m sorry, but we have none.
Customer: If the president came in and asked for a Birkin, would you have one for him?
SA: Of course.
Customer: Well, the president isn’t coming here today, so you can sell me the Birkin you were saving for him.
OMG...it's been ages since I posted on the forum, just started to post again since this week. I have so much catching up to do, I just started to read this thread from the beginning, but this comment made me spit out my coffee  :lol::lol:.
Thank you for a good laugh, Madam Bijoux :flowers: . *Off to clean the coffee from the table, lol*

Yes  Or this episode of SatC (if I remember correctly, Samantha tried to "procure" a Birkin pretending it was for her client, Lucy Liu).

Ahhh memories, still loving this episode. At that point I could only dream about owning a red Birkin myself and I loved the one in that SATC episode. Even after my dream came true having a red Birkin myself, I still love that episode.

I’m having flashbacks! I believe they were still building it when we moved here in 1996. MCI Center for me, even though I know better.:lol::lol:

To stay OT, my current unpopular opinion is I wish the SAs got their schedules sooner; the week before makes scheduling a bit rough (for me) since my SA is on the other side of the country, so it’s not like I just plan to pop in. At least her schedule has stabilized some and she knows which days she should be in, but which hours is always a toss-up. I don’t encounter this with other SAs.

my unpopular opinions:
1) Are we not tired of watching Mini Kelly unboxings? I know I am. If it were a practical bag that could fit your phone at least i’d understand the hype but I feel like the mini bag trend is over and it’s end was long overdue. People only buy it for the hype and “rarity”.

2)I wish people, on here especially, would stop pocket-watching influencers buying Hermes and talking down on influencers like you’re better than them in some way. And as if an influencer couldn’t possibly actually like Hermes for anything more than the status it might possibly bring. This also applies to comments made about new Hermes shoppers. I see a lot of passive aggressive comments made about H newbies and how they can’t sustain the H lifestyle. How do you know that? Sorry not everyone can be grandfathered into a 10yr SA relationship. We all start somewhere. Have some class!

What is "pocket-watching"? Sorry, I am clueless on this one.
