Not sure if this has already been stated but my unpopular opinion is Epsom leather feels like the leather used on Kate Spade bags. I only own a wallet in Epsom, but my sister has a Kate Spade bag and they feel almost the same. Her bag was $200 and the wallet is now over $2K with the price increase. I don't think it's worth that. I guess that's my other unpopular opinion.

I couldn't agree more. It's so not luxurious feeling.

I love the toupet bag especially in this pink! It is indeed horse hair. Years ago, they had made a dark teal one and also a tricolor one. It is such a special bag, but was unsure how much wear I would get out it. But thanks to Vogue for the idea, it could be used as a vase

The price increases for H which rumor has it will be across the board for shoes, scarves,
jewelry etc (phasing in around Feb 15th) will be off putting for some but not for all.
What I'm hearing from SA's is that clients are not feeling the "value" of the increases
it's not about whether the client has the pocket for it. So I would imagine the pre-spend
will become that much more competitive & with limited inventory even more so, JMO
Another increase? But we just had one 6 weeks ago! Where are you located?

My unpopular opinion is that I don't like the Evelyne bag. The tpm is far too tiny for me but the next size up feels cavernous. I have been testing a 29 for a few days and even with an organizer it's a chore to find stuff. Plus I am not too keen on the look. I hate visible branding and find it annoying to constantly think about carrying it so the H doesn't show. Sorry to all the Evelyne lovers but it's not for me!

I actually resent the term ‘quota’ bag. It makes it sound like rationing during the 40’s or something. I can understand wanting a Kelly or a birkin - but ‘quota bag’? In my mind it degrades these beautiful items. Btw just for anyone reading this who may be new to Hermes- don’t EVER use that term in a boutique. They won’t know what on earth we are talking about…

SAs definitely know and use the term “quota bag”.

My SA has definitely said quota and I personally don’t use quota.

As a H newbie I’ve been reading threads that date back to 2007, mainly 2010, just to get an idea of how things work. Terms and things that a lot of people don’t like have been used and done since back then and SAs arent oblivious. Prespend, ratio, quota, relationship, going to Paris, wishlists etc is not new or an influencer thing, maybe just used more.

When I was shown the Evelyne PM the SA said the correct way to wear it is actually with the H side toward you and the pocket side outward, which makes sense actually with the way the snap closure of the pocket sits.
