Agree. I think it’s very easy to pull off a larger bag even if you’re petite. The Olsen twins still look chic with their b30 or 35s. But the mini or smaller size bags can be challenging. Of course to each their own, but I don’t think it’s a great look when b25 handles look like they have a chokehold on someone’s wrists.
I agree. Just because it’s the on trend (mini) size, that doesnt mean it will suit a person. Sorry but ive seen modshots of mini k’s on here or even k 25’s that are way too small for some body types (you get what i mean and i dont wanna be rude to people reading this forum). In an art perspective, the smaller the bag is the bigger the wearer looks like. #peaceout

Since Epsom has come up in several fairly recent posts here, this is my unpopular opinion. And I'm already ducking for cover. It seems like the "Emperor's New Clothes" leather. It commands high prices on consignment websites and YouTube/Instagram "influencers" rave about it. The major advantage of embossed, plastic-feeling Epsom is that it responds well to being cleaned with baby wipes. I doubt there are many (or any) Epsom bags in the collections of O.G. members here. It may be that Epsom bags are being sold to Hermes newbies playing the "spend game" and just don't know the difference. Yeah, ducking for cover.

Ive been an H customer since 2018. That might be a newbie. I have clemence, epsom, negonda and togo. I particularly love my B epsom so to each their own. I like togo as well. Clemence is OK. Although my togo in black is so underwhelming. I have yet to own a bag in chevre and an ostrich and croc (matte) would be my dream. So i will have to come back to this thread for a follow up post lol

I look forward to when the demand for small bags goes down so maybe I can get one! They're the only ones that work for my small 4'11" self- everything else makes me look even more shrunk down imo, and my whole adult life I've been trying not to look like a little girl who doesn't know what they're doing. Bigger bags can also be way too heavy for me.

Same with clothing- so much of H's clothing is loose, boxy and oversized. I'm too small for even the smallest size of most things except the tight fitted ones. More tailored clothing please! ^_^ I should dig up the picture I took of the size 34 sweatpants I tried on. My SA was laughing and laughing XD

Agree. a larger bag, especially sellier, will make one’s backside look trim and petite :D

Shhhh competition is hard enough as it is. Can’t be giving away all our secrets.. But in all seriousness I think epsom is fine in the sellier and 25 sizes. I will never do another b30 in epsom. Corners have not worn well for me and I didn’t use the bag much. I also won’t do a light or medium color due to the variations in coloring - darker pebbles versus the rest of the leather.

Interesting. I have a black B30 in epsom and the main reason I love it is it's low maintenance. Not as luxurious as my B30 in clemence, but I use my epsom way more and it looks brand new. No wear at all. I'll have to be more careful in the future. And I only like sellier in epsom and box leather.

I think that my unpopular opinion is that the unpopular opinion regarding the disdain for "stacks," multiple pieces being worn at once, and those that choose to wear their own jewelry how they wish has been posted so many times, ad nauseam really, that it has now become a popular opinion and no longer needs to be stated.

:amuse:

I was literally reading your post and was like yes! Right here!! Agree!! 1000000%!!! I could have written this myself! Say it again for those in the back!! :woohoo:

Then I thought.. wait. That really IS familiar!!

I actually resent the term ‘quota’ bag. It makes it sound like rationing during the 40’s or something. I can understand wanting a Kelly or a birkin - but ‘quota bag’? In my mind it degrades these beautiful items. Btw just for anyone reading this who may be new to Hermes- don’t EVER use that term in a boutique. They won’t know what on earth we are talking about…
Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but can I add the term “score” to this as well? “I’m going to FSH this month to hopefully score a quota bag.” Just….cringe.
