If you have the money in hand and head to the store and check the bag out and decide its not worth the money, then you don't really want the bag as you pointed out in the highlighted statement

I only make 33K on salary and started making this much 8 and a half months ago, and this is the highest I've ever made. I only started working just over 2 years ago. At my previous job, I had been making like 22K the first half and 25K the second half. Looking at what I've saved up, I can afford more than a dozen 2K bags, and it is ridiculous b/c I spend a lot eating out too. How do I do this? I live at home and my frivolous money-gobbling passions lie solely in food, handbags, and watches.
Apparently, $671 is now the most I've spent on a bag b/c I've just purchased a used 2005 regular Chloe Paddington. 2005 has the smooshiest, softest leather out of all the Paddingtons, sold out, and hard to find for me, so I guess it was worth it. Retail value: Not sure, but is more likely over 1,300 bucks. Will update.
Everyone has different priority's, Some people like to go out to eat a lot and spend a lot of money on food. Some people like to take vacations, Some people rather spend their money on an expensive car. Some people drink, smoke and party every day. Others would rather buy expensive purses. Who is to say which is right. It is what makes you happy. I don't think you have to have a super high paying job. It is what you choose as your priority. My ex-boss had no problem going out to a $200+ sushi dinner but thought I was crazy buying an expensive purse. Guess what I still have that expensive purse. What does she have?

The currency exchange rate seems to have gone up a lot, so if it was still 1 euro would equal about 1.4 US dollar, then it was about $1,250, but according to purchases I made on Ebay, it is 1 euro is about 1.67 US, so about $1,495. This big change in exchange rate is the reason why I actually paid more than I expected on this Paddington. Too bad I found out too late.:>(

My black chanel maxi in caviar. Got it last january on a trip to LA. It's something like $3100 (including tax). It was a splurge but it's certainly worth it.
