What is the most that you'd spend on a handbag?

I can't imagine I'd ever spend over $2,000 for a bag. I've spent over $1,000 for a few. But there was once a time where I could never imagine spending $300 or more on a bag. So I guess never say never.

The most I've spent on a bag so far has been $3000 for my Chanel all around chain flap. I see handbags as a lifetime investment as long as you to stick to the classics, its definitely worth it

I sure could normally spend 8000-10 000€ max, but i am saving up my money for an apartment so I'm trying to think rationally at the moment - so 2000-3000€. I'm still 18 anyway so I have time left. :greengrin:

I would prefer to stay under $2500. I broke that rule when I bought my Chanel at $3700 before taxes, but I love it. So if I really really want it, I might go higher, but I generally don't.

I spent an awful lot of money on a Birkin and other purses...Now it's over....I won't spend more than 500 euros.... ($700) and it's quite a lot of money when you come to think of it.....

Is it of good, as new condition?
I recently bought a new m/l caviar GHW for €3100 from Europe. I believe it's $4400USD. In Australia, where I'm from, a brand new one would be $5290AUD.
So in that context, depending on where you're from, $3500 can be a pretty good deal, as everything is just so marked up!!
