Respectfully, BNSF, they just had a fake Dior Gaucho removed from Ebay last week that was caught by someone in the Dior forum.

I just think people should not blindly trust them based on name only. I hope that anyone who purchases from them has the bag checked, be it here or Caroldiva or whoever- just like they would with any other re-seller.

oh of course. I don't buy anything from them unless I know its real. At least they are willing to listen and take things down once something is pointed out to them. Like I said, I don't think they willingly try to scam anyone. And I guess I do have an advantage living close to them that I can actually see the bags in person so I know what I am getting.

Yes, that's true.

And for the record, I don't think they purposely set out to scam anyone either.

You're lucky (or not??:graucho:) to live so close to a re-seller like that. I have some cool consignment shops near by, but they don't sell designer bags for the most part:sad:.

They used to deal out of the back of their home in Bev Hills. Not nearly enough room for everything they had. Their new showroom is huge now and it was hard walking out of there empty handed. I pretty much go exclusively through them now for used bags.

I think most bags on the bay that Fashionphile lists are VERY overpriced, but the pictures seem to be nice and I guess if I wanted a bag bad enough and they had it listed, I'd probably buy. I've heard that the pictures are better than the actual bags, but I've never dealt with them so I wouldn't personally know.

For the most part, if I'm going to buy something used, I'm looking for a great deal. I don't want to pay close to retail for a bag that has obviously been used.

I bought a never-been-used Denim Baggy GM from them last year. I got a great price for it - in that - it was slightly less than retail was when they were selling in the stores and it came brand new with bag, tags and box. I was happy with the purse. It looks exactly like the pictures. I was not disappointed with them. Of course I had it authenticated here.

The only complaint I would have is the slow, slow - if at all - email replies to inquiries. I did receive a few emails here and there from them... but a few inquiries were never replied maybe they didn't get them? It didn't stop me from buying the item, but I would prefer quicker email replies. Because when someone asks about something..they are excited to get it and the longer the emails go without a reply...the buyer starts thinking about buying something else and cools off...lol. Just a thought.

I am not totally defending them. BUT..... I was in there the other day (they have a showroom near me) and I asked them why some of their prices are out of control. His response was... Some sellers set a minimum price they will accept. So once they add on their profit it makes it a ridicules price. They know it. But there is not much they can do about it. Most of their stuff is straight consignment so it is really up to the seller how much the bag goes for. Plus they figure if someone is willing to pay that much it is not up to them. They are not MAKING someone pay that much.

^^That does make sense. Kind of like a person who wants to sell their house for too-high of a price; there's only so much a realtor can do. And they have to maintain some sort of mark-up to support the business.

I also read once that buyers from overseas are willing to pay more for a bag that is not readily available over there....or something like that.

Here we go again . . . Honestly, this is starting to happen often enough that I am beginning to wonder if it is always an accident. Why does it continue to happen? What about the ones we don't hear about? I wouldn't touch her sales with a 10 foot pole. Too much risk. You'd think being caught as many times as she has been that it just would stop happening. The fact that it does has me very concerned that it's just the tip of the iceberg and that for every one we hear about, there are others that we don't.
