What is Fashionphile smoking?

While I don't wish to argue-one of the many complaints about FP is that their items arrive in worse condition than described. So as for "people who can't read product desciptions", how do you know the bags weren't SNAD because of inaccurate descriptions and being shot in a light box?

Just sayin'.

what does SNAD stand for?

---

and i say what i say with all fair, plus fashionphile is generally very overpriced... right now most of their LVs are about $200-$400 over fair market value...

sometimes they have a good deal... i saw a bag over the weekend that for reasons i dont understand i didnt buy that was about $100 BELOW market value...

still if you are new and you dont know your way around ebay, there are worse places to buy from than fashionphile... of course the only place to get 100% real item 100% of time is the stores...

i came close to buying used items a few times but i dont know, i just dont have it in me... i would rather buy from the store

SNAD = significantly not as described. For the members here who have complaints against FP, this is one of them-that the bag arrives in worse condition than described in the auction.

You do have some good points, for sure. There are definitely worse places to buy used. There is a certain comfort from buying from a re-seller who specializes in high-end bags, no doubt about it.

Just PLEASE people, ALWAYS authenticate, no matter who the seller is. No-one is blindly trustworthy.

I think I can explain this. Altho the prices may be over retail prices in the US. For other international locations, it is still cheaper and these international customers have no way of buying from LV directly in the US to get the actual retail price. So they buy from people like Fashionphile or ebay. You may feel they are ripping people in the US off, but for international customers especially in Asia, the bag is still cheaper. The customers in the US can buy from anywhere they want to, and shld do research before bidding and buying anyway.
Also, discontinued items or limited editions are another reason why people buy from them so they do have a niche.

I probably wouldn't buy something like a neverful from them simply because it's not rare. But asking higher than retail on discontinued/limited items is completely acceptable.

I have not bought any LV from her, but other brands, so far she has great customer service, and the bags are as described. She does have some negative feedback, but her postive feedback is outweighed. Saks and neiman can sometimes mistakenly accepted returned bags as fake, if you're in the retail business, you cann't satisfy everyone. Just make sure to check before buying anything. At least with FP, she can correct the mistake and refund you money, not like other sellers can disappear with your money.
