What do H fans think of LV?

I am never a fan of LV myself neither because of the mainly the loud logos, and the price for the quality and materials they are. However I am always drawn to some of the silhouettes of bags they have, for example the Speedy. It's so iconic. I have purchased a few LV items for gifts over the years have only purchased a Wapity Case for myself which I still adore but no longer use.
I guess for handbags you need to find one that suits your needs, some of the logos can form into almost a lovely pattern which can also look nice :)
However I greatly not getting the recent Supreme x LV collection...

I have probably said this before, but I have several epi leather Noes and Petit Noes. Rarely I carry one, but they are lightweight, stand up on car seat, easy to find things in, and I carry over shoulder. I really love them, but cannot be unfaithful to Hermes very often.
I know they have reissued Petit Noe with a long strap, but I like my old ones.
I like the style of the Neverfull, but it is almost like a uniform around where I live.

I carry my Delightful on rainy days and to the salon. I recently purchased the horizon luggage in eclipse and absolutely love it for a carry on. I was afraid of using luggage with logos but after using it the first time I was in love.

I think the handbags are so different that there probably isn't a ton of overlap between Hermes and LV enthusiasts. I personally thought highly of LV in my 20s which was 10+ years ago.
LV was my first designer bag brand, purchased while in college, but I haven't been the least bit interested in LV in over 10 years. In terms of quality and workmanship, Hermes is far superior IMO.

I really like the LV small leather goods range and their price level as compared to what H has to offer.

Love my LV SLGs. I try to avoid things with too many metal parts, because the plating wears off and that's annoying for the price. Still have my handy Eva though, despite the metal wear and my wallet and Cles will probably last forever. My MC Luck It (I think that was the name) started getting plating wear after less than a year and for the price I could have put it to an H bracelet. Oh well. Lesson learned.

I didn't find that LV had sung to me in the past, but I agree with other posters who have said some of the sillouttes attract them. I would say I fall in to that category. I have a neverful because - doesn't everyone?! And when the tahitiennes collection came out it just caught my eye, so I went for the speedy B in that print and I LOVE it! It has been such a fun summer bag for me. It is just so practical for a Mom and i don't have to stress about ruining it - or more importantly, my kids ruining it.

I love H and lust for a lot of items I do not have. I see them as my "collection pieces" more so then my LV bags and SLG's - although I'm sure I'll have my LV's forever too.

I also have a few Chanel pieces and do not find them to be poor quality for the price as someone had mentioned on this post. I think my caviar bag will probably outlive me. But I don't purchase trendy Chanel bags. Just the classics. I'd say my trendier stuff is in the LV category.

Right now I'm debating Hermés Evelyn vs Chanel Gabrielle. I put a lot of thought into my collection because I want to create a small well rounded collection. I don't see myself with 20 bags (I say that now) and a Evelyn and Gabrielle check the same box for me. But I just can't decide if I like the structured bottom of the Gabrielle although I love the look of it.
That went off track

I love H leather, but I'm not sure there's anything quite like LV canvas for its light weight durability. I had a LV monogram backpack that I carried for over 15 years. It probably weighed about a pound empty. It is one reason I always laugh when people talk about vachetta leather being "delicate." This poor bag endured scorching hot cars, humidity, and freezing temperatures. It got rained on, stuffed under plane seats, used as a pillow and a foot rest, dumped on the ground, hung from its D-ring, and filled to overflowing. I carried books and an old, heavy laptop and just generally beat this bag up. I loved it, (and miss it) and I'm sure it is out there somewhere still going strong. Had they not changed the design and among other things, removed the vachetta bottom, I would buy another one without hesitation.

A handbag should always be a personal choice and not what other people think about it :) But having said that, in my city and neighborhood, basically all the high school girls are wearing LV...I see about 20 Neverfulls every day while walking the dogs. I really wonder sometimes what kind of allowance these kids get because when I was 16 all I could afford was a nylon Gap messenger bag for about $20 (an that was on sale!)...:)
Anyway, it somehow influences my thinking. I know that it shouldn't but it does. I'd feel a bit silly wearing the same handbag like a 16 year old :) So I've given away my LVs to my teenage niece and she's loving it. It's a win for everyone :)
