YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! The Giant Hobo isn't heavy but the others, ridiculously heavy. One the main reasons I love these bags is their weight. The GH negates that aspect and I don't even like it. The extra $$ they get for that hardware is still ridiculous to me. 400.00 I would rather have a lighter bag and a wallet to match.

I have a SGH part time.... Very heavvvvyyy... killing my shoulder and arms....
I really prefer the regular hardware much more...

I have just sold my Gh City because it just felt so heavy to carry around! i picked up my old city and it was nice and light, i guess its just personal taste but i think im going to keep away from the Gh!

I have a GH day and it seems pretty light to me.

Yes, the GH is definitely heavier and I totally feel it by the end of the day. It matters less for the Day and Hobo, because there aren't as many studs, but my GH city is much heavier than its RH sisters.

I was waiting on the black and SGH and I didn't even think about the additional weight of the HW. Thanks for this thread. I'm not going to get GH now.

My next family member will surely be the Black City. I'm lusting over the way the GSH looks on this bag. I'm in love.

I did, however, just read in another thread that the GH can add an additional 2-3 lbs. to the weight of the bag. One of the reasons (one of the many reasons) I love my Bbags is because they are so soft and light-weight and easy to carry.

GH ladies - can you confirm that it is actually 2-3 pounds?
Can you give me an idea of what your City w/GH weights when empty?

I don't think it is nearly that much as I just last night put my empty city with gsh on the scale and it weighed 2 pounds or just a hair over. Couldn't possibly be 2 or 3 pounds more. Maybe they meant it weighs 2 or 3 pounds total????

I just got a GGH City and while it is heavier than RH, its not too heavy or at all cumbersome to carry! And the best part it fits over the shoulder Day 1.

Still lighter than a paddy...

Thanks for the clarification Brunette - I was wondering about that as well - love the GSH, but am kinda hooked on the lightness of Bal (especially when I carry one right after I've been carrying one of my MJ's). I really want GSH on my next bag.
