Weight of Giant Hardware v Regular Hardware

i have a gh brief, and it is a hassle to carry at times.

i don't take it to the market/when i know i'm walking a ton because it's just a job to carry...sadly, it does not fit on my shoulder comfortably (at least both straps, which is annoying).

all of this said, i still have and LOOOVE the bag!

I have a giant work, and I don't find it heavy. A bit heavier than the RH bags, but still fine. And I almost ALWAYS carry it over my shoulder! The handles have stretched a bit, so it's even easier than when I first got it. Great, great bag.

I have two Giant Work bags and it is not heavy at all. :nogood:It all depends what you carry inside. The handles are long enough to fit comfortably on your shoulder and that is what i like about them. Can you try one before purchasing it?

I'm opting for a darker color, I'm actually thinking of ridding my city to fund the SGH Steel Work.. but that was just an idea. All this bag in and bag outs.. its like a revolving door! :noggin:

Tell me about it. It is a vicious cycle that never ends.:sweatdrop: Actually, i tried a SGH Steel Work at NM last week and it looked awsome.

I've been wondering the same thing... but I figure that since Bbags are well known for being lightweight... it shouldnt be THAT bad right? it all depends on what you're comparing it to I suppose... if you're comparing it RH then of course it would be heavy... but if you're comparing it to Paddy's then I supose its light as a breeze???

I tried the work with GH and it's just a bit heavier than the RH but I could wear it on my shoulder just without a jacket and I don't have big arms. The handles seem to be a tad bigger than on the regulars but it's not a real shoulder bag. Therefor I deceded against it and got a city instead. You might try it before you buy it to see if it fits over your shoulder.

The GH is definately heavier than the RH, but for myself it isn't a deal-breaker...I love that the work bags are big enough to carry off the giant hardware. As for the straps, mine fit comfortably on my shoulders, but are snug with anything heavier than a very light sweater. I hope that makes sense :)

Most of you will disagree I am sure but my GH work is very heavy with my stuff and not comfortable at all to carry...since it doesn't fit well over my shoulder...it's tight and the top folds over under my armpit and after awhile it will stay crunched over if I would try to continue to carry it that way...I have to carry it in the crook of my arm and have to move it around or change arms constantly as my arm gets tired or sore...I'm 5'3-4" and 130 so I consider myself normal in stature...My 06 RH work also does not fit on my shoulder and I bought that used so "breaking it in" does not appear to be the answer but I don't have the problem of moving that bag around on my arm all the time...
