If it is gold toned, like mine, then that color might be the right match! It has just the right amount of metallic sparkle to match the bags finish, which is not a flat color. That’s why polish works so well. High gloss and a bit of shimmer.

Just be sure to take the bag with you and be prepared....I got some looks while picking out the right shade, holding it up to my bag, but who cares? My bag looks perfect! That’s what matters.

Let me know if I can be of any more help. :)
Just received it! It does a weird noise when I squish it with my hands.... like something is dry inside and as ripped apart between the leathers...Screenshot_20201214-171759_Instagram.jpg

Well the bottom half of the bag normally with my hands...
Mine sounds a little like that too, but there is also the sound of the vernis around the zipper sort of sticking/rubbing the top of the vernis inside that could be contributing to the sound. If the inside lining is not bubbling or peeling off, I wouldn’t worry about it.

The inside lining is ok, just a few cracks near the opening and one above zipped pocket. No bubbling or peeling.

When I turn the bag upside down and up again, I can hear the bits inside tumbling. It's 21 years old, after all.

Maybe one day I could undo a stitch inside to take all the bits out, but I will probably leave it that way.

As you said, it's pretty and the handles are really good.

I wouldn’t undo any stitches. I would just leave her be, give her some touch up love and condition the handles and inside, then take her out and show her off!!!!!

One last thing: there is a couple of scuff marks on the vernis. A magic eraser, a regular clean eraser or none of them? TIA
No to Magic Eraser...you will ruin the finish. Clean it with an unscented baby wipe first, light pressure. That may do it. You could try a clean white pencil eraser or a leather conditioner like Apple Care. Light pressure, soft cloth. If that does not work, try a little bit of alcohol on a q-tip and wipe immediately with a damp soft cloth. Small areas, a little at a time, light pressure. Last try would be acetone (nail polish remover) using the same q-tip and wipe with a damp cloth technique. Condition after either alcohol or acetone.

Thank you very much! I will follow these steps.

Hi all,

This is my first LV vintage piece, a croisette in epi leather, colour lilac, from 2000. Lovely condition

Ive had it since august, but havent taken it out since (thats why the little white piece is showing, tags still attached)

Ive seen some of you also have this model, so I wanted to ask does the metal piece on the side (second photo) unlock? Mine is impossible to unlock, I thought it might be glued

Mine unlocks, although it was quite stiff so be careful, but it definitely un buttons at some point and then you have more room to maneuver :) beautiful bag. I love mine!
