Whateve, do you know if they made the strap longer on the classic shoulder bag in the nineties? I'm wondering if my black bag's strap is just stretched or if they began making it with a longer drop. Thanks for all of your help!

I bet they did. Most bags had longer straps then. I don't have any catalog pages that mention strap length.

The bags I sold to Coach I actually sold on ebay and Bonanza to a representative of theirs, who used to be a member of the forum. That was when they were buying hundreds of bags at a time. The archivist that works for Coach had an ebay account and he used to bid on items he wanted for the archives. I know a forum member who sold a bag to him for $1000 this way. I don't know if he still does this. If I wanted to sell to Coach directly I would contact the archivist at Coach.
