Hi @CoachMaven, I have a Broadway Satchel in black. It's a pretty easy bag to carry. I have used it with a novelty strap and really like how it carries with that strap. The zipper opens fairly wide on it. Much better than the Ace satchel which was kind of hard to get in and out of. It's kind of between the size of a regular Rogue and a Rogue 25. Let me know if you'd like pictures or have any more questions.Does anyone own and use the Broadway style satchel regularly? I have been looking at this style recently was curious of reviews and function of this bag.
Oh there she is! Thank you @Catbird9 . You wouldn't happen to have any info on the large shoulder bag with turnlock. Its 9 x 11 x 4. It was authenticated but I can't seem to actually find a picture or anything on it

Lol just one of those oddball bags, maybe it's a stewardess that is missing that silly little pocket under the flap. Who knows.Nothing in my files either.
Hi Picklejuice,
I have included photos of some of the detail elements you noted earlier. ( buckle area, back of tab, and pocket. Have a great weekend!
Someone in the Authenticate thread mentioned that Coach may be interested in it for their collection, especially since it has the original box and is in such pristine condition. I know at least one poster here (perhaps @coach943 ? Sorry if I'm remembering wrong) sold a vintage bag to Coach for their display, and mentioned that Coach had been buying up some of the rarer vintage pieces for the collection, but I'm curious how that even transpires. Do you reach out to Coach directly and ask them to forward photos of the bag and box to the vintage experts? Or do they have their people scouring eBay/Etsy/Poshmark/etc for them? Just a curious question.A bag like this could be worth a lot to a collector, but there aren't that many collectors so you might have to wait a long while to get that.
Here are what vintage bags described as Bonnie Cashins have sold for recently on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr...cashin&_sacat=0&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1
Most of those aren't true Bonnie Cashins.
If it were mine, and I was sure I wanted to part with it, I would probably list it at $500 or best offer. You can always lower the price later. You could also list it on Etsy, which might attract more vintage buyers. You might have to wait a year for it to sell unless you are really willing to deal. Or you could find a consignor or auction house.
The bags I sold to Coach I actually sold on ebay and Bonanza to a representative of theirs, who used to be a member of the forum. That was when they were buying hundreds of bags at a time. The archivist that works for Coach had an ebay account and he used to bid on items he wanted for the archives. I know a forum member who sold a bag to him for $1000 this way. I don't know if he still does this. If I wanted to sell to Coach directly I would contact the archivist at Coach.Someone in the Authenticate thread mentioned that Coach may be interested in it for their collection, especially since it has the original box and is in such pristine condition. Sweet!
Not surprising that the name escapes, it was a slippery one. Assuming the dimensions are 8" x 7" x 4" OR 8" x 6" x 3" it's style #9530. In 1983 it was a Small Shoulder Bag:

In 1986 the name becomes Shoulder Bag with Turnlock (pictured in Grey):

Oh there she is! Thank you @Catbird9 .
I wonder about 9630 school bag. I have the school bag as 9695. I wonder if it is the same style.I found an earlier style name for the 9530. On this 1978 price list, it was called a Small Pouch:

That's interesting, I wonder too. Possibly 9630 was slightly different in some way. Another Coach mystery!I wonder about 9630 school bag. I have the school bag as 9695. I wonder if it is the same style.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad to hear you like it. I hate when I get a bag and functionally it is just not what I want, it puts a black cloud over using it because it becomes a chore. And the size sounds good, I can do in between a regular and 25 Rogue.Hi @CoachMaven, I have a Broadway Satchel in black. It's a pretty easy bag to carry. Whateve, do you know if they made the strap longer on the classic shoulder bag in the nineties? I'm wondering if my black bag's strap is just stretched or if they began making it with a longer drop. Thanks for all of your help! These bags are workhorses. They are such a great size. I had one that was so abused the leather was almost petrified.
Oh Wow! I can't wait to see her rehabed. Here's an oldie for you guys!
