Hyacinth authenticated this for me in 2022. But she didn't know the official color name. I think I researched it further and decided it was "ink." Don't know for sure!! Anyone know this color name? 9033, made in Costa Rica in 1998. It looks different colors in different lighting settings. The above photo was the sales image. The second I took a minute ago. ETA: Seller called it "eggplant."

this is really a beautiful color. I love the dark richness of it. I have an eggplant bag from around 2005, so later - but def not the same shade, more purple and not as nice imho.
