One time, I was expecting a Coach bag I bought on eBay. I opened the box, and it was a Coach bag, but definitely not the Coach bag I'd bought. I then noticed that it was addressed to the woman who lives three houses down from me. We have the same first name. It was pretty amazing that it was a Coach bag she'd bought on eBay. We laughed about it pretty hard.
That is actually pretty cool.

Minutes after I posted, the doorbell rang, and sure enough it was someone who lives one or two streets over, dropping off my package that got misdelivered to their house. Annoying that it happened, but I'm so relieved they found it and brought it by!

And yes! THAT is what I'd imagine a graffiti bag should look like, not just random paint splatter. Even if it's not to my personal taste, I can definitely respect someone customizing or modifying a bag as long as it's well executed. There's a subreddit I check out sometimes called "Awful Taste but Good Execution", but it seems that all too often the painting on vintage bags could best be described as "Awful Taste and Terrible Execution".
Yay, for getting your package.

I once had a package say it was delivered and I drove through the neighborhood looking for it. I actually found it about two or three houses down from ours. The neighbor wasn't home so I went to the neighbor's between us to explain why I was taking a package from ours neighbor's front door. I just knew I was going to be reported for mail theft, lol.

I think in my case, they were shipped and just misdelivered. It was many years ago. It was two different sellers for packages delivered on the same day so it would be highly unlikely that both sellers would have scammed me. Back then, the PO wasn't taking pictures of packages so there was no way to prove which address was on the package. They weren't using gps in their scanners so there was no way to tell where they were delivered.

I hope you contacted Posh and told them about the seller.

ETA: there was a scammer on Tradesy a few years ago. Back then, Tradesy released the money to the seller after 4 days, so she uploaded tracking for packages that had been delivered more than 4 days earlier. Once Tradesy realized what had happened, they refunded me and banned her. I bet they corrected their software too. Now they don't release the money as quickly.
I've never had a package disappear where I've had to request that the PO look at the GPS info of where it was last scanned, but I'm very glad they can do that now just in case! I've heard of people reusing old tracking numbers to help in their scams--I'm glad Tradesy refunded you and banned her!

How funny! I can't think of a better way to bond with your neighbor!

I considered taking a walk around the neighborhood lol, but we had thunderstorms and tornado warnings on and off all afternoon that I didn't want to get stuck in, also I would've felt incredibly awkward going onto people's porches to check packages. It definitely crossed my mind though! And in your case the risk paid off lol.

Due to the generally confusing nature of my mail/street address in my complex (mailing address on a different street than parking /driving access) on top of confusing signage, there is general mis-delivery between my small unit and the two units next to me. Despite some minor differences among us, we are good about walking packages over to each other’s door, or even on occasion giving a friendly yell across the parking lot, “ yo, you expecting something? “ and pointing to packages. I have yet to hear anyone complain that they think a delivery was stolen.
I had a neighbor who was a tow truck driver and I swear he was building a car picce by piece. Weekly Amazon boxes that were heavy. I gave up on moving boxes to his door. It was funny. I would regularly see him retrieving boxes from all over our complex.

Wow. Just wow. Did you get your money back??

I did get my money back. I was so thankful that by chance I had read that post here because my PO wasn’t really being helpful and I had to pull camera footage to show no box had been left and get the scan of the doctored label. Because the carrier lied and said he gave me the box when he left whatever was left instead at another address. Had I not known what the scam was as it happen to me I would have been left wondering

I wonder if they ever really shipped? I was scammed on Posh by someone who altered their preprinted label to an address near mine and put it on an envelope. Scan by PO make it look like it was delivered as bar code was correct, but envelope was left at a neighbors. I only knew what happened because someone in another forum here had a similar scam. I made the PO send me the last scan of my item, saw the address was wrong and conacted my CC company.
That happened to my daughter, Poshmark was great about it and refunded instantly.

I was kind of lucky in that this was the only house that had a package outside, lol

Ok, making good on a promise I made at the buying ban thread to post a collection shot here on the vintage thread: this is my collection of vintage & near-vintage smooth leather Coach plus a couple outliers. All the bags on the main part of the couch are unlined leather bags ranging from a 1980s NYC to early 2000s Legacy. All are made in US except the black Court (made in Italy) and the blue Janice (made in Costa Rica). The 2 on the couch arm are the outliers: the red bucket is a 2002 Made in China bag with sig C lining and the black turnlock is not a Coach at all but a "cousin," my Bonnie Cashin for Meyers bag which I believe is from the 1970s. Nothing too flashy here, but I've taken care to acquire nice neutral pieces I will use a fair bit. Some day I would like to splash out on some vintage bags in more colors: a yellow, red and green in EUC would top my list.

I’ve found two Bonnie Cashin for Meyers bags that look similar to the current Coach Rider Bags. I haven’t found any vintage Coach ones but it’s a start! [emoji4]

Thanks for sharing these! I love that little Mulberry bag.

So what's in everyone's wish list? What vintage coach bag are you looking for?
I have my eye on another Pocket Purse, I love the size of that bag, and it's in red....
I also would like to find a Belmont in good condition, but not sure which color yet. Not even sure what all the color options are for this style.

I long for a Cody Bag 9964, a Organizer Pouch 9645, a Ranch Bag 9852 (any color but black) and a Coach United Airlines Saddle Pouch. I'm not certain if this is the correct name. It may be a Coach Stewardess that was made for United Airlines.
That's all for now... :flowers:
