Thanks for the tips, Catbird9.
Could you suggest if anything can help fade out old pen marks? (Part of the reason why I was so bold with washing the bag before knowing anything about rehabbing is because of some pen marks the seller missed/forgot to disclose.. The blue pen marks are on the top and front of a tabac tan bag.... :s) I suspect the answer might be no but I’d really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
Pen marks on leather are hard to remove. You might search the Coach Rehab and Rescue thread for suggestions and lots of tips on rehabbing:

Hello all! I was sitting here admiring my newest addition to my coach family, my british tan "willis"bag from 199615244220483871099064894.jpg , wishing i could find a way to get the one and only spot on the entire bag to come off, and it hit me!!..if i cant make it come off, and chance destroying this beauty, why not cover it up? So here it is, with a collection of coach hangtags that ive collected over the years from various bags.. and it hangs PERFECTLY over the spot!! 22 years of beauty! Gosh, i love coach!!

Perfect solution! I really like those cut-out hang tags.

For light colored bags, I've found that zit cream (benzoyl peroxide) works pretty good by bleaching it out. You might end up with a white spot though but that is usually easier to fix than dark ink. The great thing about zit cream is that you can apply it in a thin line just on the ink. Then put it in the sun to help it bleach. I usually leave it on a day or so before cleaning it off. It doesn't always work so you might need to try it more than once.

I had the funniest idea earlier that i wanted to share with y'all..if i ever find a coach bag that is waaay beyond repair, like every measure has been taken to restore it with no luck, i may buy a bunch of coach hangtags and somehow adhere them to the bag, like all over it!! I just thought it would make for an interesting look
Funny, I had the same idea. I thought of attaching a chain to the bag, in several places, and then attaching the tags to the chain and to the bag. As if they are hanging, but the image is fixed.
