Thank You so much for sharing this. As time permits for you Catbird9 - would love to hear more about this book from you. Where may I find one too please? Any thoughts on that would be greatly appreciated. I love any and all well-done books on the History of Coach.

You're in luck! It's available on Amazon (probably on eBay too but I haven't looked).

The book is really a photo essay on the Coach factory in the late 1970s, showing the culturally diverse workers making the leathergoods. The photos are in black and white and emphasize the hands and faces of the workers. It is a tribute to them...their dedication, skill, and work ethic, and is an enjoyable portrait of a bygone era in Coach history. It's fun to recognize the familiar styles of vintage handbags being assembled.

Yes, the Dinky Tote (so pretty ) - if I may ask Flushpuppy : is the inside lining an 'unfinished'/suede leather or Cashin Madras Stripe Lining (?) when you get the time to do so - would you be able to post a photo of its inside for us (?) - if you're okay with it of course. :smile1:

And Bonnie Cashin sure did some gorgeous designs for Meyers as well when she was 'in-contract' with them. I feel 100% confident sharing that any and all things designed by Bonnie Cashin was : GENIUS.

It's unfinished suede inside.

Coach Cabin Bag ad, 1992-95.

"The Wright Brothers' great grandnephew, Michael Robert Hudec, with his Coach Cabin Bag.

Michael Hudec, an avid flyer, is a geologist who lives in Texas. He's carrying the Large Cabin Bag, #503, $544, made of extraordinarily supple, lightweight leather."
Thank You for sharing this Catbird9 :flowers:, I love the Vintage/Older Coach Catalogs.

In this photo from The Factory book, can you tell what bag the man is making? I think it might be one of those, or similar:

Thank You for sharing your thoughts. Yes...but kinda hard to totally 'see'/tell for sure - Catbird9 , is it like perhaps one of the outer side pockets of a Vintage Coach Cashin Double-Kisslock with long straps that the Coach Factory Leather Worker is working on (?) - would love to hear your thoughts as time permits for you.

GoStanford wanted me to post a pic of my vintage Coach bags here. I already did in a thread in the Handbags & Purses forum where it was requested. I only have three. Some of y'all may remember me back when I posted in here often when I was an active buyer, which I no longer am ... so hi to you guys! My collection is complete. I also have a 2012 Coach, 2005 Chanel and 2006 LV.

Anyhoo, L to R: Madison satchel made in NYC, tomato red Sonoma satchel and black Madison Copley.

Hello all! I'm brand new here and not sure exactly where to post my questions/concerns. I am a new Coach enthusiast and have been selling on Ebay for a couple years. Most recently, selling mostly purses. I do my very best to authenticate anything I list though was recently reported for selling an apparent fake. I have been scouring the internet for more information. So far I have only found one place that declares that any bag with a creed beginning
"J8P...." and says it's made in the USA is definitely a fake. Is this true? Like I said, I've only seen it stated (and restated, from the same source,) in one place. It's a heavy duty, orange, older leather bag. I thank you in advance for any suggestions, thougths, opinions.
