Argh! No! I am a newbie and kind of quiet but I appreciate your posts so keep 'em coming. Feel better soon!

Thank you, and welcome to TPF and the Coach Vintage clubhouse! I'm slowly getting better ... still croupy-sounding when I cough and breathe (horrid rattling), sore throat, fatigued and headach-y. I went to the doctor Monday and got some amoxicillin and cough med so I can sleep. Blah.

My Madison Biltmore & Gracie rainbow. R to L: Garnet, Scarlet, Forest, (blue?), Navy.
I'm still hunting for cheap Butter, Citron, and Mandarin in this family.
I had Maple Biltmore but decided I didn't like and would never wear the color again after the first time I carried it, and a Granite Biltmore that was too splotchy for me, so they've been rehomed.

Gorgeous!

Wow! I thought the garnet wouldn't be as pretty as scarlet but I was wrong. Now that you have them, you can tell me when you find another one listed for a decent price.

Really? OK. I'll remove it.

Perhaps I should stop posting these and let y'all who are more skilled at authenticating do it. Sorry.
No, it's okay. I want you to continue posting them. Maybe add a disclaimer that they should be authenticated before purchase.

We've recently proved that anything with a J factory code is fake, since the J factory wasn't used for purses. Most of them have the D6J prefix and the same font where the numbers are rounder than the font used by most factories. It also has that long underline under the "o" in "No." and the "o" is too big.

OOH Pretty! I didn't realize there was two shades of red. I guess my Gracie is Citron.

Thank you! I didn't realize there were two shades, either, until I got the NWT one that said "Scarlet" on the label. I thought it was just poor photos of the regular red in the listing.
Citron is a neat color.

Gorgeous!

Thank you!

They're both really pretty reds, imho. I still have all of my searches set up, since I'm still looking for a few more colors. I'll let you know if I find anything good. :sneaky:

Yikes, I forgot Mint! I really need Mint next.

Not sure if I've said or done something to make y'all mad. If I did, I'm sorry. Just getting this weird vibe that I'm being a bit ignored and I'm not sure why.:confused1: It may just be wrong perception on my part, but if I did say or do something that upset y''all, please let me know so it won't happen again.

Perhaps y'all are thinking it's strange I'm posting about stressing over money problems & regret about buying the Sonoma, then turning around and posting listings of bags. Since I've been sick with this bronchitis/possible early pneumonia, I haven't felt like doing much other than sleep or stay on the couch with my laptop. Soooo ... yeah, I'm scouring eBay basically to kill time and posting any good finds I come across to help others out there who may be looking for a good deal. I'm happy with what I have. BTW, the money problem has been taken care of, so that's a HUGE weight off my shoulders. Aside from my illness, everything's all good.

Anyway, if it's that, something else or not anything at all, please let me know. I hate thinking I may have upset someone and not have any idea :flowers:

I've been posting less lately cos I've been really busy and I have way too many in my rehab pile so I've been good and not looking, well not much anyway....let me know if you find a Rambler...:graucho:

A lot of tpfer's post on the 'Vintage Coach Leatherware - Rehabs, Rescues and Rarities' Facebook site. It's a closed group but just apply to join.

Oh, it's supposed to have a strap? I didn't realize that. Meh, doesn't matter to me cos I hate shoulder bags. They always slide right off my shoulder. I take the straps off (if they have them) and put them to the side. Satchels are my preferred bag. I took them off my Italian Madison AND my Sonoma satchel I just bought. It's in Tomato and STUNNING. Dunno if you saw my pics. My NYC Madison satchel didn't come with a strap. If I rehabbed bags and resold them, it would make more sense to buy multiples, but since I don't ....

I'm the type of person who doesn't have multiples of the same bags in different colors. When I was looking for a red bag, there was a NYC Madison (no glued-in serial number) on eBay. Same as my British Tan one. It was a gorgeous red but ... no could do. The only thing similar about my bags is the structure. I have a black, khaki green, etoupe, British Tan, tomato red and rosey pink.

I still think the slim satchel is GORGEOUS. Love the patina.
Your Tomato Sonoma is my holy Grail. I was on vacation when that was listed so you are lucky you weren't in a fight over ownership! I don't always use the straps either but it's always a good idea to hang onto them just in case you decide to put them up for adoption. The hang tags too. I also keep the tags of new purses in the zippered interior pocket.

I have a black Madison Copley, that was NWOT which I got it about two years ago. I paid 60.00 bucks for it so I feel very, very lucky to have it. It is one of the most timeless pieces, imo. I have about 6 or 7 Italian made Madisons. I don't have any Gracies; they are as cute as all get out but not practical for me; I like to use my purses. I am one of those people who don't have "good" towels, etc. I use what I own. Although, I do have this absolutely gorgeous pale green, pearlized leather Coach purse that I like to look at; I've never used it though.;)
