Thanks, Bigal! I like having a mission! I'm thinking studying the color examples might help me thrifting.

I like that too! I think learning the colors is really helpful. The sage from this time period is a gorgeous green too. I think in all I'm only missing a vintage red. Here are the colors I have. The lighter flap under the tags is my putty classic pouch.

What a great collection, Bigal! Thanks for sharing! You're motivating me to check & group the classics I have....

Didn't sell the first time around so it's now been relisted for $160.

Makes sense. I'm sure more people will jump on it now that it's $60 higher. Buyers were probably out there thinking, "What? I wanted to pay more than $100!" /sarcasm off

:cray:
I had that bag on my watch list when it was $100 but then thought that was too steep a price for missing a shoulder strap. But now, hey, I am way more likely to buy it for another $60.00. Duh! I have three of these bags, one currently in rotation, which I think is Mahogany, a Wheat and British Tan. I would love one in Tomato. I love them, they are the perfect size. I love all satchels that have a zipper that goes right around. The Asheville Zip is great too, I have a couple of them, too, and of course, Baxters.

It depends on the size. It might be an equestrian flap shopper 9808.

Hi, Whateve, I have a couple of 9808 Equestrian Flaps, I adore them even though I have to admit they have a little bit of a design flaw, in that you always have to reposition the straps after opening them. I wasn't aware that there were other sizes. What is the other style number and do you have a picture to show? Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply there were others from the same collection. There are a few briefcase sized bags that are similar in design but don't have the same hardware.

My Madison Biltmore & Gracie rainbow. R to L: Garnet, Scarlet, Forest, (blue?), Navy.
I'm still hunting for cheap Butter, Citron, and Mandarin in this family.
I had Maple Biltmore but decided I didn't like and would never wear the color again after the first time I carried it, and a Granite Biltmore that was too splotchy for me, so they've been rehomed.

Oh, it's supposed to have a strap? I didn't realize that. Meh, doesn't matter to me cos I hate shoulder bags. They always slide right off my shoulder. I take the straps off (if they have them) and put them to the side. Satchels are my preferred bag. I took them off my Italian Madison AND my Sonoma satchel I just bought. It's in Tomato and STUNNING. Dunno if you saw my pics. My NYC Madison satchel didn't come with a strap. If I rehabbed bags and resold them, it would make more sense to buy multiples, but since I don't ....

I'm the type of person who doesn't have multiples of the same bags in different colors. When I was looking for a red bag, there was a NYC Madison (no glued-in serial number) on eBay. Same as my British Tan one. It was a gorgeous red but ... no could do. The only thing similar about my bags is the structure. I have a black, khaki green, etoupe, British Tan, tomato red and rosey pink.

I still think the slim satchel is GORGEOUS. Love the patina.

OOH Pretty! I didn't realize there was two shades of red. I guess my Gracie is Citron.

I don't think you've upset anyone. This thread isn't as active as it used to be. I love it when others post finds, except when it is something I'm planning on bidding on and I want to keep it a secret!

Look at how cheap this went for!

OK, I was just starting to get a little worried when people stopped replying to my posts. I hate thinking I've upset someone and can't for the life of me think why.

And ... WOW! That is cheap, but small and totally impractical for me.
