I was referring to the listings like, for example, a Winnie being sold as “vintage coach bag” for under $100 only to be re-listed again a day or two later as “vintage coach Winnie 9023” for $500+. Ive seen it happen multiple times with many of the “rarer” bag styles. Vintage coach has become incredibly cutthroat sadly! :shrugs:
Also getting hard to find any Coach bag listings under $100 period!

Not true. I don't get it. A bag in worse condition than mine with blurry and minimal pictures will sell for $150 when the same is listed well under $75 and it sits!

I suspect that if the price is too low, buyers think it's fake! ???

I buy mint bags and reviewed my purchases just last night. Going back to when I started buying vintage late 2019, nearly every bag was under a $100 or slightly more. There were a handful of rare colors in Willis that I bought for around $250. One was aubergine and I paid $300.

What is everyone's favorite Vintage Coach style for taller people? So far, the Willis and Quincey bags take the cake for me as perfect length crossbody (I'm 5'10") of what I've tried, but I don't have a very robust variety yet so would love to hear other opinions/thoughts.
Willis! I’m 5’10” and it’s my fav bag.

I re-homed my last Willis & now I have none in my collection! It was a nice style but dead last in terms of what I’d pick to actually carry. I’ll never own another one lol (*gasp* sacrilegious!)
I have one in my collection and though I won't get rid of it, I'm definitely not interested in getting another one! On the hand, I do want to get rid of my City Willis. I'm too short to wear that one comfortably!

I’m almost as tall as you. For crossbody I like the Oliver.

It is definitely harder than it used to be. Even non vintage coach is high. But there are still sellers that have low priced listings…example below…but the bag condition may not be mint…

The City Willis is an odd looking bag to me. It’s length doesn’t match it’s width in my opinion!

The Willis is an odd bag. I like the look of it and attempted to get one when the prices weren't so high. I am short though (5'-5") so I feel like the bag would look too big on me. But then I don't know why I don't feel that way about other larger bags like the large side pack.

And there are still listings under $100 for vintage coach, or something reasonable for rarer ones - I saw a black Gracie in pretty good condition for about $160CAD on ebay the other day! But they go within the hour! So they are out there - though they are getting more rare.

While it absolutely sucks for us who collect, I think it's generally a good thing that sellers are more informed with what they have. I'd much rather the original owner of the bag (or goodwill or a rehabber) get the bulk of the profit from the sale. I hate to see bags that were obviously thrifted - with the thrift store price tag still attached! - listed for astronomical prices!

None of my family or friends do Willis so that is a style I can’t gift to them. It is my favorite style. (My first introduction to Coach was seeing a coworkers navy Willis bag around 1993 and it was love at first sight!) So now I have Willis duplicates for some colors because I upgraded to NWT or better-conditioned ones.

These days I carry mostly two styles, a Willis or a Rogue 30 depending on how much I’m hauling. For quick errands I love the small flap bag or a Watson. Tonight I did take one of my legacy bags to dinner, a Candace in a leather/signature combo and one of the few signature bags I own. It’s a great size and very versatile. When these cane out I bought every color in leather!

@Coachaddict4020 I agree. I own three in camel, black, and mahogany and haven’t ever used any of them! They look cool to me but when I try it on the bag is just too wide. I don’t like the Murphy for the same reason except it’s too tall for the width. I should probably sell some of these bags I bought and don’t care for. But I have never wanted to be a seller.
