I love them all! In order of preference, difficult to say, I have favourites from all over. DR Rambler Legacy gorgeous leather!!! Doctor satchel US (NYC) silky soft leather I am unable to stop touching, 9966 Legacy zip Mexico...again beautiful soft leather. Murphy Hungary and Station Turkey (hope I am not mistaken origin of last 2). Costa Rica Rambler Legacy I love and with my DR one, is probably most carried. Also US one! Unable to rank them!
I love them all too!

Agreed. Plus there are some users volunteerily contacting the sellers with such info. There were a set couriers listed and ppl were going bonkers messaging the seller in bundles some offering more money, some advising to list each for $$$. Shopping vintage coach really is cut throat right now as you said. You can't rest easy till you have checked for cross listings on multiple sites and it has shipped. I'm so glad I started early and were able to get so many before the market went nuts.
It may be because Coach is selling restored vintage bags on their website for $795 now. The smaller bags are priced $395 to $595. The newer restored Coach bags are not as expensive as the vintage ones. It‘s a way Coach can cash in on the green movement to reuse recycle, and is making vintage Coach even more desirable to some. There are also some very good sellers on Poshmark who restore vintage Coach and do a great job. Their work is worth it.

Can someone post pics of what bags are currently shown on the US website for the Reloved Vintage bags? For some reason, every time I try to go there, it redirects me to the Cdn site…. Thank you!

I'm aware of what coach is doing and what the restored bags are worth and I don't have a problem with that. My problem is with the people who go out their way to cancel our purchases of UNrestored bags.

Yes, what happened to you was so rude. I also don’t have a problem with Coach selling vintage and enjoy watching the videos by Deborah their restorer. I do think it may be an influence on the much higher prices lately for vintage bags and the rise in popularity of vintage Coach. I like it in a way, because I own several. But it does make it more expensive to buy new ones. Coach’s vintage prices are very high.

I find it rather humorous that there are newly-released bags offered for sale on the Coach site as restored bags. it speaks to the low quality of the newer ones. Or the desperation to find vintage bags to restore. Probably a bit of both.

Not everything they make now is bad quality. I’m not a vintage snob as I own many newer bags. I love my Rogues and they are very well-made. I do not like many of the other offerings and I really dislike the quilted junk! Here’s a “newly-minted” bag that has been “restored”!

I prefer it went back to the good old days…like pre covid, where bags were reasonably priced second hand and were only collected and used by people who truly appreciated the craftsmanship. Nowadays I feel like there are sellers who do not care about any of those things that thrift and and are just opportunists trying to make a quick buck. To be honest, if I were ever to pay the prices Coach are commanding now for Vintage, I would love them to make new bags exactly the same way they used to with the full grain, full aniline leather with the solid brass or nickel hardware. That way I know that the bag will last me 50+ years as we already have an empirical reference. it would also really elevate the brand to what it used to be.

What is everyone's favorite Vintage Coach style for taller people? So far, the Willis and Quincey bags take the cake for me as perfect length crossbody (I'm 5'10") of what I've tried, but I don't have a very robust variety yet so would love to hear other opinions/thoughts.
I’m almost as tall as you. For crossbody I like the Oliver.
And I do like the Berkeley Zip, today’s bag! aka sueded version of Janice’s Legacy.

There are some very good restorers on this forum who also sell.

Deb started on this forum and learned her rehabbing skills with the rest of us. She got the job with Coach after she donated some rare bags to their archive.

Maybe it was something that got damaged in their store. They used to throw them away or send them to the outlet. Now they've figured out a way to squeeze more money out of their discards.
