Okay, beauties. Are you ready for heart-wrenching news?

Our shipment arrived from America today. I’m missing two of four x-large heavy duty Home Depot boxes of vintage Coach bags. I can’t bring myself to open the two lonely boxes I have and see what’s missing. I’m teary.

No doubt they were taken. No hope I will see them again. Sigh. That’s all I have. Solidarity, please :crybaby:
So. Box 20 has been located. Stewardesses are safe!! Two boxes still missing. But glad to have these lovelies. I couldn’t wait to open it. Don’t have the room to open other boxes. But I like knowing these made it

And it looks like I didn’t finish the mahogany stewardess before packing  Turnlock nicely wrapped up in the bag. Phew! My past self was more organized than my current one

Comments: something doesn’t seem right with the leather but could be the photo quality
What were your concerns? The leather looks nice to me. But then I have picked up a few really really worn, distressed bags here and there along the way! The color, for my educated guess appears taupe. Off the top of my head, the date is right. So it will seem off if you are thinking the chocolate brown mahogany or distinctive British Tan.

Thank you for bringing my message over :) Taupe would make more sense. The colour didn’t seem sure. I was squinting at it thinking, that’s an odd brown. But I’ve also bought a fake before so once burned twice shy. I will have to research the colour taupe. Thank you Lake Effect

Early in my vintage exploration I bought a Patricia's Legacy off a listing with poor photos. I was expecting the deep mahogany brown and when it turned out to be taupe, I was surprised. It was not love at first sight and I took it to a local resell chain (they offered me so little, I thought I would rather donate it somewhere) and then I was ready to take it to a consignment shop who told me to come back later. At some point a few months after that, it grew on me. And became a staple!
If you go through the catalog photos posted in the Ref Library subforum, taupe was offered around '96. I will see if I can find a photo of my bag.

Here’s my Taupe Patricia’s Legacy, or, Patti . . .

So I easily fit a small wallet and two quilted VB pouches in the main compartment, with my phone in the back slip. A bit tighter in the Rambler Legacy, City and Court. I have them too if you want to see any comps with those items in those bags. Now in my pouches are

Normally I don’t have the make up nail polish, well maybe one nail polish ! but I do have another VB nylon tech case with work fob, ID, lanyard, flash drive back up to all my Coach files lol. In fact, I am going out to the car to get it now , lol. In other words, I usually don’t carry the make up bag, but do have another pouch.
ETA pretty sure you don’t need to see rando misc grab as I’m going out the door , ie roll of breath savers, spare socks in case the knee hi nylons don’t cut it, scrunci/ barrette, Lara bar , small inspirational reader and on and on . . .
So here is my preCOVID throwback to what I would cram in the Patti, going to the office. For the heck of it.

For the heck of it, I took a pic. I just threw in the BT tote for contrast. Using natural light and my iPad. I feel like my photos always come out with the hues a bit warmed. Patti is from ‘96 and Ranch is ‘90ish. I tossed the flap back on the Ranch as it is a bit faded. Patti always struck me as cool. The Ranch photographs here looking like she could go a bit burgundy but to me is the true Mohagany.
Fascinating.
This is a decent rep of the taupe in contract to others. Maybe I should post it on the Comparison thread. We could use that to show the vintage palette, too.

Lake Effect, these photos are brilliantly helpful to see the colour comparisons, thank you so much . Taupe is a beautiful colour and think in person it’s going to look different in comparison to the post.
I was squinting at two coach vintage backpacks yesterday thinking to myself well that one is definitely not black. But it looks different colours throughout. I’ll attach a photo. It looks brown/grey. Think it’s been sun burnt or something but it’s changed colours.EC31AE46-FD3E-4A33-8AA4-423BB6CC91B9.jpeg
