I’m with you, ladies. Vintage coach is the best therapy life can offer. Solidarity all around!

Agreed 100%! My job is very stressful (I think Im losing my hair…) & on top of that I feel pressure to hit milestones in life that people around my age are hitting. The one thing that never fails to make me feel better is buying a vintage coach bag. My life might be chaotic but at least I have a nice bag collection!

Good afternoon! I’m interested in looking for a Stewardess bag. For those who have them - do you find them functional? Or are they bulky and heavy to carry day to day? Is there a similar but more functional style I might consider? Also- are there any of the resale sights that tend to be better to find vintage Coach? Or just check EBay? ( I would definitely get a purchase authenticated first! I just don’t know enough to trust myself ). Thank you!! !

I am pretty sure I have missed the milestones. Late bloomer does not even begin to describe me ... but I'm good with who I am so that is all that matters.
And yeah, good with my humble collection of mostly, at least to me, bangin' BT Coach bags!

Well, I have hit the milestone for buying the Coach I could not afford in the '90's, for sure! :roflmfao: so I can check the box for: '90s - buy Coach!

When I was going to the office and satellite offices pre-COVID, I loved bigger bags like the Stewie, Ranch, etc. but I would tend to fill them and they do get heavy. That didn't stop me, but I feel I am in the minority. Wait for others ...
In the Reference subforum, there is a Vintage Comparison thread. Do a search there and here and that may help.

My Stewardess is very comfortable to carry but I get irritated with the YUGE flap. I love how much it holds and I love how it settles on my shoulder. It just feels good to carry. I'm not sure about other comparable styles but there is an American Airlines Stewardess that is smaller than the standard size - if you can find one. They're rare but beautiful.

To hell with the milestones! It is YOUR life. I'm not sure what milestones you're refe
Okay, now that the initial shock is over, I'll leave in 15 minutes and come drive over and help you look. I should be there in 72 hours!!!
Ok! I'll have coffee ready!

I love the Stewardess! Amazing bags. I just wish they had a back slip pocket. Have one on the front for phone but the turnlock is right there so I’m afraid it’ll scratch up my phone if I forget to put it with the screen facing in. That’s my only beef with the style.

rambler’s legacy is quite a bit smaller so it’s not really in the same ballpark, but it’s comfy with a back slip pocket :)

@Runnurse21 or Patricia’s Legacy? No turnlock but in between both of these sizes. Wider strap than a City Bag too. I don’t have one tho, wait for others’ opinions re Patricia

Whoops! I was waiting in line at the car wash and I deleted that because I wanted to put more thought into a better response. Of course it auto saved and after the car wash I responded to Lake, thinking I had deleted my response to you.

I'm sorry if my response seemed insensitive! I really thought I deleted it. That's what I get for posting while running errands.

Lmao! Not at all! You’re good, no need to apologize!
