That came out beautifully! What dye did you use?

Thank you hg! I didn't dye her per se, but did colour refresh her. I used a tiny amount of red acrylic paint and mixed in a minute amount of yellow to match the tangerine colour. I then mixed the tiny amount of paint with a lot Leather CPR and mixed thoroughly. If there are streaks of paint in the mixture you'll have streaks of paint on the bag. The secret to successful colour-refreshing IMHO is many thin coats so that the pigment is absorbed rather than sitting on the top. Using this method the feel and texture of the gorgeous vintage leather won't change. :flowers:

There's been some chat and photos recently about dark spots appearing after a dunk and what they could be. My tangerine Geometric 9043 also started exhibiting some minor ones as she dried. The seller was a lovely TPFer, so I know there was nothing amiss with the bag.

Here are the minor marks which appeared:

(The biggest spot is on the piping in the last photo).

I used a lot of self-restraint and did not panic or intervene! :lol: Instead I continued to condition/buff and allow the bag to dry normally. I checked her tonight (now a couple of days later) and the marks are definitely fainter!!! :tup: I'll keep you posted as to whether or not they disappear!

How are your "bags with post dunk spots" doing???
The two beauties in progress on my work table:

@LadaZuri Nice job!!!

The elderberry takes my breath away. I absolutely love it. I know that the leather version is 4916. I've never seen very interesting colors. The catalog mentions black, buff and saddle. If the buff were yellow-ish, I'd be interested. Most of the listings I've seen have been pretty blah. If I ever see a more interesting color, I'd be all over it in leather. One bag I think is similar is 4027. I know it's titled a 'Monterey' hobo, but the style seems very much like this one. I have a 4027 in red that is just gorgeous.

4027 is smooth leather and it is unlined. That is 4927, a very similar number. I wonder if they did that on purpose. I've never seen a catalog picture of 4927.

Going through a lot in life right now and sinking into my own little world in which I'm already on a summer break in Italy and using my summer bags! Right now I'm thinking azure ergo, chalk dinky and bt envelope swing wallet!
I'm with you my friend! I'm just now emerging from a very tough time too and I think I need a new bag to cheer me up. I haven't spent my Christmas bonus yet. Oh wait....I spent it on car repairs and vet bills. Oh well, we can window shop and dream, right? I hope things settle down for you. I'll pray for us both! :hugs:

I’m with you, ladies. Vintage coach is the best therapy life can offer. Solidarity all around!

Looking for one more round of nubuc love. Style 4950, the Duffle Sac in nubuc. Left to right: sand, spruce, chocolate.

Gosh these are beautiful. My fear with the nubuc is that I’m not gentle with my bags and the nubuc shows wear more readily than the smooth leather. They’re so warm and floppy, though. I could cuddle one of them!

I also saw that the precreed duffle sac made its way to you:hbeat: I’m so glad you have a good cobbler!!! I toyed with the idea of sending it to Coach for repair but wasn’t confident due to the shop being ‘open’ but low staff and communication at the time. Cool bag, tho!

ETA: what color do you think that precreed duffle is?? I never could figure it out, but I’m terrible with colors. I would say it’s ‘brown’ haha
