I have a Coach Geometric bag style no: 9043. It was in bad shape when I got it and I am looking to re-dye the leather but can’t figure out what color this would be. I know it can in black, white, red, kiwi, tangerine, mahogany, and yellow. I cannot figure out if my bad is a worn out yellow or orange bag, or maybe the purse came in another color like buckskin???

I think that’s supposed to be yellow. There’s a catalog picture with a bunch of them together:

I agree, it's yellow.

What are the chances you’ll get a refund on Posh? Are you holding onto the bag until the refund comes through? I can’t imagine how irritated I would be. Ugh
I had a buyer get a refund on Posh. I thought I had described it perfectly. The buyer changed her story, which made it seem like she was lying; yet they still approved the return. I just sold it on etsy and the buyer gave me a glowing review.

Wow, that bag has been abused or was somebody’s favorite daily bag for years! It’s definitely yellow. I own four of these bags in red, orange, yellow, and lime green. Do these bags have cardboard in the top foldover sections? It’s very stiff so I’d be leery of dunking one of these without knowing for sure.

I don't think it is cardboard. I never dunked any of mine, if I remember correctly, but I think it is the same thing they put in the bottom of court bags.

It’s probably that thin & flexible piece of pressure treated wood like what I discovered in the handles of the Carousel when I was rehabbing it. Whoever was behind that put some serious thought into it. The perfect balance of structure without being too stiff!

Eta: Here’s my original post for anyone curious about the wood thing that didn’t see it

Thanks for solving that mystery!

These were purchased at about the same time at the same thrift. Both have beautiful leather. One was authenticated here and the other has no Coach markings at all and its hang tag is blank. Hardware looks identical. People have complimented on both. I am so curious to know if a Coach employee made the unmarked one 'on the sly.' I guess I will never know.....View attachment 5313653View attachment 5313654View attachment 5313655View attachment 5313656
I saw a bag precisely made in the style of the Monterey Hobo at a thrift shop with no Coach branding. Other people have commented occasionally about bags made exactly like Coach styles. It does make you wonder ...

Looking for some nubuc love. While sorting bags, I found these--some of my favorite 'winter' type bags. Style 4943 Soft Bucket Nubuc in Sand, Elderberry and Dark Sage. It's a big bag: 17 x 15 x 8. Moving into the Dark Sage as soon as I finish this.

BTW: I've been lucky with these and have not dunked. They all arrived very clean so a good vacuuming and dusting inside and a good brushing outside have been sufficient.

Also, cat in the back supervises me all day!

Brushing makes all the difference. I’ve not done it on nubuc, but suede looks great after brushing. It even minimizes some stains by raising the nap.

Love the elderberry! Do you have the pebbled leather version of this style too?

The elderberry takes my breath away. I absolutely love it. I know that the leather version is 4916. I've never seen very interesting colors. The catalog mentions black, buff and saddle. If the buff were yellow-ish, I'd be interested. Most of the listings I've seen have been pretty blah. If I ever see a more interesting color, I'd be all over it in leather. One bag I think is similar is 4027. I know it's titled a 'Monterey' hobo, but the style seems very much like this one. I have a 4027 in red that is just gorgeous.
