I set an alarm on my phone to go off 20 minutes before the end of the auction. The funny part is sometimes when it is several days off and I if have lost interest in the bag, I end up not bidding anyway or by end of the auction, it has been bid up already above what I want to pay. Once though, I mistakenly set the alarm up 24 hours after it ended and missed out. I was not happy!
I'm not into the snipe software, but apparently it works for others with no problem. I am completely fine with putting in my absolute max, taking into account shipping and tax, just before the end of the auction, or earlier if need be. If I don't win, so be it.
I hope you find that Periwinkle! It is disappointing . . . *passes the tissue box*

More than half the time I'll forget to bid even if I remember an hour before it ends. By the time the end is near I'm usually doing something else.

I wanted that Rust Saddle. Was not going to forger that!! I was working, so I set up the auction on my iPad, right next to my laptop. I had figured out my max, so I stopped and watched about the last 3 minutes before putting my bid in right at the end.

I think with all the issues Ive been seeing on these threads with periwinkle bags, maybe it was for the best that I forgot lol. Im not a bright bag carrier, I just get caught up in wanting colour when I see the beautiful rainbow of bags that members post haha

I hear you!! It gets so easy for me to get caught up in what I see other people buying! Thank God I am a couple years in and have gotten a feel for what styles work for me, especially for work (well of course, pre COVID). And because I am a real neutral lover, I think, oh, I should have more color. I have given myself permission lol to love and focus on BT and other neutrals. Ironically my search for vintage yellow took me to two non-vintage yellows I like very much and so luckily that scratched that itch :lol:. I got lucky with my Maggie in Periwinkle. It had very little wear (the big draw) and was cheap.

Yea I can’t see myself ever buying yellow, mango, lilac, lime green etc. But Ive added a red nyc bag that I posted yesterday and it goes with so many of my outfits so I consider it neutral lol. I also have a BT pocket purse now, I have a bone/off white bag on its way as well as a bag in a colour that Im keeping a surprise until I get it this week and post about it here ;). I think Im fine with getting enjoyment out of seeing other people’s bright bags! I also have to stop myself from wanting to add bag styles that others post about because I know they won’t work for me (such as a backpack). Its so tempting because they’re all so pretty lol

Red, BT, bone, ix-nay on the backpack, all you need to add is navy and we are twins separated at birth!
I too enjoy the vintage adventures of others, and yes, I can't forget to add, learning so much here, else I wouldn't hang around :lol:

LOL Id like to add navy to my collection too! Its so dark though, sometimes when Im looking at listings I can’t tell if its navy mislabeled as black or black mislabeled as navy haha :lol:
