Nope, no solid brass on the buckles. I've found that very early bags didn't have solid brass hardware, then they started using it in the early 70s, so some pre-creed bags have solid brass hardware. Mine has a metal tag. This is only a little bit over 11 inches across but it might be taller than a Pony, or at least have more usable space since it isn't curved.
Yes, the curved flap makes the Pony more like eye candy!

Well, it's right passed, oooo I don't have it in that color island, and to the left of but its in really good condition island.
And because it’s such a tiny island sandwiched right inbetween those two very large ones, many often don’t even see Ban Island and sail right past it. Some say it’s unfortunate to have missed it but the reality is no one wants to be there anyway

Edit: My latest purchase is a kimball zip in what I hope to be sapphire! We shall see!

It still boggles my mind how difficult she was being to cancel the sale. I don’t understand the point of wasting time to mail something out knowing its going to come right back to you eventually...
The seller sounds angry that her bag was identified as fake and angry that she has to take it back. It seems to me to be a bit spiteful to ship (if she hadn’t already) and that there is some hope on her part that her unwillingness to accept she is in the wrong will influence our member not to go through the return. Like a tantrum with a side of bullying.
Occasionally someone posts on AT, after their fake is called out and they are directed as to why on AT, about their bag can’t possibly be a fake and it is apparent some (not all) are angry about it.
Side note, Also, I taught for several years at a community college. I came into contact with a lot of mostly younger students who when they thought they were right, had no problem with arguing it to the nth degree and felt that they could argue, protest and appeal their way around policy and regulation they didn’t like. This case gives me that vibe.

She kept arguing it wasn’t fake. Benefit of the doubt, she might not have known, it is well made and the leather feels like old Coach. Because it wasn’t marked as shipped when I requested the cancellation, I suspect She already had the label printed, didn’t know how to get refunded for it and figured I would either see she was right and it was real or Mercari would side with her. Just a guess. It made no sense at all.

Wow yea ok that makes a lot of sense. As for what you said about teaching students, it seems to just be getting worse. I don’t know what happened over the last few years but so many college kids seem to have some sort of cognitive dissonance about facts vs feelings. It makes a lot of sense, people get mad and deflect when they are faced with facts that oppose their own beliefs so it shouldn’t be surprising to me that some of these people are sellers as well. Thanks for breaking it down- that was very well written :)

Working at a middle school I can give some insight there. Parents carry on to principal about something they think their kid should have, principal says no, next there are emails and more emails, still no, then come emails to super intendants and social media carry ons and threats of lawyers and calls to Board members and they get what they want teaching kid that this is how to behave.

I knew a lot of kids whose parents would fight their battles for them or fight to get them special treatment like what you’re talking about and they turned out to be some of the most entitled people later in life. Problematic parents don’t realize their behaviour causes more harm than good.

After my mom retired, she took a job at a preschool. She was always saying the most important thing to teach these kids was self-confidence; the idea they could do anything they tried. I believe this has backfired. This is why you get American Idol contestants who don't believe the judges when they tell them they can't sing.

When my recent fake arrived, I opened the envelope it was crammed into to make sure it was the bag and not something weird to screw up the return and refund, plus Mercari made me photograph the whole thing to prove it was counterfeit. Couldn’t get it back in to return so I used a box I had here. Seller was bugging me about when I would mail it, I said Monday at latest because I might want to try to find a better box at work. When I went in to message that it shipped, I had another message telling me that if I hadn’t opened it, I could just put a new label on. Why wouldn’t I have opened it? Could this woman be more of a pain?
