Yea I can’t see myself ever buying yellow, mango, lilac, lime green etc. But Ive added a red nyc bag that I posted yesterday and it goes with so many of my outfits so I consider it neutral lol. I also have a BT pocket purse now, I have a bone/off white bag on its way as well as a bag in a colour that Im keeping a surprise until I get it this week and post about it here ;). I think Im fine with getting enjoyment out of seeing other people’s bright bags! I also have to stop myself from wanting to add bag styles that others post about because I know they won’t work for me (such as a backpack). Its so tempting because they’re all so pretty lol
I love colorful bags. I don't care if my bags are neutral because I can wear neutral clothes with them. I love blues, purples, and greens more than warm colors but I have some of those too. I figure one orange and one yellow is all I need of those colors. I am trying to resist getting more red bags as they would steal wears from the red bags I already own. But there are so many shades of blue, green and purple that I have many of those, not all vintage. I don't have a vintage purple. I don't care for that really dark purple. I had one once. Sonoma grape is nice. I had one once but didn't like the style. I don't see myself ever getting a beige, bone or off-white bag. Those colors do nothing for me and don't go with my wardrobe. I prefer saturated colors to pastels. I have plenty of black bags without trying. I like some browns but I think they are harder to coordinate with my clothes, especially shoes.

LOL Id like to add navy to my collection too! Its so dark though, sometimes when Im looking at listings I can’t tell if its navy mislabeled as black or black mislabeled as navy haha
I have a navy Bleeker Basket tote and a navy Legacy Rambler both from the late 90's and they are clearly blue. I have a NYC Shoulder Purse in navy that passes for black. With the NYC, for sure, you don't know what you're getting!

Thanks for telling me about the variations- now i’ll be looking specifically for late 90s navy, the only thing putting me off of navy was that it looked so black I thought it would be pointless lol :)

I wear very neutral colours- black, grey, charcoal, dark green/olive, nude, white and navy. I tend to go for dark bags just to complete my “toned down” look. I do own some floral dresses and fancy blouses but I only pull those out when Im going to a family gathering or somewhere that requires a more “girly” look. Ive considered adding mahogany to my collection but like you and the bone, it does nothing for me! Its cool to see how different everyone’s colour preferences and style choices are. It would be a pretty boring thread if we all had the same tastes lol (although I don’t doubt a majority of us could be bag twins haha)

I think Coach started to go through big changes in in the late 80's. They were privately owned and then were so sold to Sara Lee, which I would guess would mean corporate expansion. So by '90, they had outgrown the NYC loft for production. And from looking at old catalog pics, it seemed they really exploded with new lines/styles. I am sure they had heard from customers about the black/navy issue. So maybe even by the early 90's, they moved away from the really dark navy.

I have the same problem. Thats why I have a navy Prairie and a navy Court. After buying the Praire thinking it was black, when I saw the Court being sold as black i was pretty sure from the pics it was really navy but I was good with it either way.

Not at least until after 1995. I have two bags from 95 and I could use a black strap with the navy Court and I can't tell the difference even in bright sunlight. Its that close. The suede is where you can really see a difference.

Same! I actually have 3 navy bags from the 80s to mid-90s, and 1 of them was as mislabeled black! The other two looked bluer in the listing pictures. I love the 90s color named 'blue.' I believe it's darker than the Sapphire blue color and, IMHO, it looks more like what I want in a navy! My Winnie is either a late 90s navy or blue, but she looked black in her listing pictures. I've learned to always ask the seller if the blue is almost black or an obvious blue.

I'm about to start rehabbing my Ergo Pocket Zip and examined her a little more closely to see what would fit inside and how. I carry my kindle most places and I'm always happy to have a dedicated kindle slot in my bags.
The Kindle-to-interior-pocket ratio in the Ergo is ridiculously perfect, fits like a glove.

Another bag to put on my wishlist! I actually already have it on my list (in yellow or orange preferably), but that's a beautiful purple! I'm watching some orange Ergo Flaps and I might pull the trigger this weekend if I get enough cash back from my credit card, but I keep wondering if I'll actually use orange.... and now I'm wondering if my Kobo eReader would fit in that pocket!

The Kindle is 6.5 by 4.5 inches.

Last night I happened across an auction for a Cooper Zip just a few minutes before it ended and I decided to bid. I won it for $28. It was a risky purchase though, because there was no creed pic and the seller had low feedback, none received in the last 12 months. The seller says they were the original owner. I didn't have time to ask questions or to thoroughly consider that I'm buying yet another bag (purely on impulse) but I've been so curious about this bag, I'm glad I'm going to get to check it out! Hopefully the seller is legit and the bag is genuine.
