if you're going to be in town and able to visit a local boutique, it's much better to try on different lengths that they have available because vca only offer the adjustments in specific ways - 2, 4, 6, or 8 pairs of links removed. they don't just take your wrist size and take out random amount of links. i've tried their home service kit in the past - which you can send in your bracelet directly to the NYC workshop by putting in the service request on their website. It has the same est turnaround time as if you were to drop it off at the boutique, only trade off is you can't try on the resize kits to determine the right length. if it doesn't fit right, you'll have to send it back out for another adjustment, so the back & forth may end up costing you an extra month of wait time. and if your bracelet has been purchased for over a year, each adjustment is $180. the service fee is only complimentary if you've purchased the bracelet in under year. what's your wrist size?
you can check out this thread where people talk about the adjustment options - some options would result in uneven links between the motifs, so that's another consideration:
I find it crazy that NY won't do this. I think it looks far worse to have an uneven number of links between motifs! So happy for you that you got yours lengthened as you wished! I cannot understand either why they don't do this (how can this vary so much between service centers?). Hope that it...
