hahaha he went into the bedroom and left me with everything but the ring. I have pictures.... but I dont think that counts. I told him "what if i'm bloated and the ring doesnt fit?" haha

Ame - Yes, jonathan put together the entire appraisal for us to send to the insurance company. It includes the setting and all the tests that were run with the diamond. Our report came with the original certificates for canadian diamonds, GIA, and Brilliancescope.

Yea he puts together a FABULOUS package. He should've given you two, one for you and one for insurance. Make a 3rd set for your safe deposit box and put the ORIGINALS of everything in the safe deposit box. Copies of the certs, etc., for the insurance people.
I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS PROPOSAL.
Yea we have two sets of them. One for us and one for insurance reasons. It's perfect because it includes everything. Any advice on jewelry insurance companies? a few of our friends have chubbs for cash value of the item? Any insight?
As for the proposal, I told him that i expect tears now!!! One tear for every hour I have to wait. haha I think he is actually planning something so it will be interesting to see what he comes up with.

I sized down an 18k gold ring before and they covered the 8 and k over the gold marking. They could have done it without covering it. I was sad about it. I learned a lesson from that. In the future I have to tell them to not cover any markings or to let me know first if they feel that it has to be done in order to size it.

Just so you know, it should be able to be restamped if you want it right again. When they did my reshank they took out all the markings (which makes sense) but I had to ask for them to redo it, which they did with no problem.Ugh.... yes that would make me super angry.
