It's really nice how since most designer rings are hand made, each one turns out to be unique and different!!! I'll be looking for updates this weekend!!! But I know, my DF was bad! How could he let me wear it?? LOL okay, I know, it was mainly MY bad since I knew he couldn't say "no" to me.

I hope everyone's ring stories have a happy ending ;) Ame - I'm sure your ring will be a top priority for Vatche, especially since it's such a simple thing to do. I'm hoping it will be a speedy process and you can wear your ring for forever and nothing will EVER happen to it again!!!
lol I'd like to agree with that, but it wasn't until I got Mr. V himself involved. So I am not holding my breath!

I think you should hold that package hostage, myself ;)

Ok, I cannot believe I missed this party!! I mean, wow.....! And believe me, I've been called a bully for less! ;)

Ame.....first of all, show me a woman who isn't OCD about her jewels! Thankfully, we can ***** to one another in these threads- that's part of the therapy ;)

Crystallina, I'm going to go out on a limb here & say that deep down, I think you meant well & your wish for Ame is to enjoy her rings & move on. Believe me....we ALL do. It's extremely frustrating for me to read these threads bc I feel as though I'm personally involved in the process.

Ame.......we're on your side. I think I can safely speak for all of us here when I say that. That being said, you need to take care of yourself, starting with surrounding yourself with kind, nurturing, thoughtful, & caring people. Those idiots you went to school with aren't worthy of 2 minutes of your time. I wouldn't waste my energy on the negative. People will always believe what they want- regardless of the truth. Life is just much to short to waste time on certain people/things.

I will say this, I'm quite surprised that through your string of disasters that you didn't send your ring directly back to Mr Vatche to re-size. I'm certain he'd have taken good care of you ;) Something to ponder for the future.

Skphotoimages......I'm baffled you've experienced such shoddy workmanship. Honestly, I've been extremely lucky with my jeweller (and hairdresser & pet groomer LOL). I cannot get my head around how someone could complete such a piece and think it's "OK" WTF? To me, that's totally unacceptable. I'm very sorry you've experienced this craziness.

It's times like these where I'm reminded of the line from the movie Moonstruck where Loretta's father was speaking to a couple about their plumbing. He said, "You have to spend money, to SAVE money"!!

In this case and others, if it means making a road trip out of it to travel out of state to obtain services of a decent jeweller, then I'd consider that in a heartbeat.

In the meantime, let's have some fun with this thread. Ame, you need some cheering up :flowers:

Ame - I completely did that! Hahaha I texted him a picture of me looking like I'm up to something followed by one of the box and then a pair of scissors.... text said "Dare me?" hahahaha followed by "If you aren't home in time tonight for dinner the box gets it!"

Contessa..just so you know, Ame DID send it to Vatche for an upsize once already. She believes it came back the same size. The reason she sent both to the other place was in hopes that then they could both be made the exact same size. Even that didn't work out.

Whoops..I love your text!!! LOL.

I must have missed that SK. So much going on. Thanks for filling me in.

Whoops, I'd be sneaking a peek! Steam, razor....anything!!!

No problem..I don't think she's mentioned it on here ;-)

YES TO THE RAZOR!!!! LOL. Oh, it'll be so worth the wait though..it really will Whoops. BUt I wouldn't hold it against you if you tried to sneek us all a pic..hehehe

I tried but when we received the other box from GOG, it was in a large UPS put inside another box so two boxes makes it's really hard! I've tried... I even shook it to make sure that there were two boxes this time. haha. Why must the box be so sturdy!

Any news on your halo setting?

You can always tell him the box came "opened" The UPS guy wanted to make certain the ring was in the box :D

I am pretty amazed at how badly a job bench kid did on SK's rings...We were both there a week ago last Saturday and we just looked at each other and both knew it was not good. Its like a total head-desk moment. lol

I do agree that it's silly to be so frustrated by these girls from my past and believe me if I didn't have to have this person involved with me I would never encounter her at all. My client hired her to help with the wedding so I cannot do a whole lot about it. It's since been a power struggle.

I LOVE THIS. That is HILARIOUS.

Yep, it was supposed to be done same day and resent, I got it over a week and a half later and if anything was done it was SMALLER.

No problem..I don't think she's mentioned it on here ;-)
yea I don't know if I did either....I cannot remember. This needs to end! *yells* :hysteric:

You can always tell him the box came "opened" The UPS guy wanted to make certain the ring was in the box :D
 That's my vote! haha!

Whoops must be attackng that box as she's been gone awhile.......:thinkin:

I was thinking of creative ways!!! haha

then the bf came home early and stole the box from me... he locked himself in the bathroom to open it. haha... BUT he has to go back to work. he just had to come home to get something so then it will be a game of hide and seek!

He's also getting smart and debating not opening it though to make sure I won't tamper with it... how unfair! Every present we have given each other during our relationship has always been super early. Xmas presents came in November and Birthday presents are always early because we get so anxious... i say we stick with tradition! haha

I'm camping outside the bathroom talking to him. haha he said he can't trust me if he opens it. And he's threatening to wrap it in duck tape to super secure it since the box is too big!

He said that if he opens it i'll ask him a million questions about how it looks? is it shiney? can you see the inclusions? etc etc.

EDIT: He opened it... such torture. I hear it opening on the other side of the door.... he says that he is enjoying watching me get so antsy.

^ so have you sweet-talked him enough yet??

He cannot possibly think you're going to let him go w/o having that ring on your finger, does he?

It's not very WISE to play games with women and their jewels/diamonds. Does he know the risk??!!!!

Get a mirror and slip it under the door!!!! Or a "knife" like in that movie "SIGNS" LOL

Haha he's being so mean! He slide the certificate of authenticity under the door and keeps going... "oooh ahhhh"

He told me I remind him a of kid right now. I told him he's giving me too much credit, I'm much worse! haha (Right now that is is)

I told him no dinner! I'm boycotting cooking! haha
