Ok, I cannot believe I missed this party!! I mean, wow.....! And believe me, I've been called a bully for less!
Ame.....first of all, show me a woman who
isn't OCD about her jewels! Thankfully, we can ***** to one another in these threads- that's part of the therapy
Crystallina, I'm going to go out on a limb here & say that deep down, I think you meant well & your wish for Ame is to enjoy her rings & move on. Believe me....we ALL do. It's extremely frustrating for me to read these threads bc I feel as though I'm personally involved in the process.
Ame.......we're on your side. I think I can safely speak for all of us here when I say that. That being said, you need to take care of yourself, starting with surrounding yourself with kind, nurturing, thoughtful, & caring people. Those idiots you went to school with aren't worthy of 2 minutes of your time. I wouldn't waste my energy on the negative. People will always believe what they want- regardless of the truth. Life is just much to short to waste time on certain people/things.
I will say this, I'm quite surprised that through your string of disasters that you didn't send your ring directly back to Mr Vatche to re-size. I'm certain he'd have taken good care of you

Something to ponder for the future.
Skphotoimages......I'm baffled you've experienced such shoddy workmanship. Honestly, I've been extremely lucky with my jeweller (and hairdresser & pet groomer LOL). I cannot get my head around how someone could complete such a piece and think it's "OK" WTF? To me, that's totally unacceptable. I'm very sorry you've experienced this craziness.
It's times like these where I'm reminded of the line from the movie Moonstruck where Loretta's father was speaking to a couple about their plumbing. He said, "You have to spend money, to SAVE money"!!
In this case and others, if it means making a road trip out of it to travel out of state to obtain services of a decent jeweller, then I'd consider that in a heartbeat.
In the meantime, let's have some fun with this thread. Ame, you need some cheering up
