I was lucky because I had no prob with my ring, however I had a series of bad luck with my pc for a long time. It was crashing non stop and every time I was losing patience money and time, I went through 3 diff pc s , 2 laptops, and 2 brand new screens. The root of the problem was my pc repair guy, he was a total jinx , whatever he touches it gets destroyed. He also had many misfortunes in his job and personal life, and heard from others that hired him that he was bringing jinx with him everywhere. These things do happen, it might sound like mambo jumbo but there you have it. You just have to find the root of it.

Agreed! A ring does not mean engagement at all. A few of the vendors we met with looked at my empty finger and thought I was just wasting their time and that we as a couple were just trying to play around. Especially when it came to somewhat dress shopping! Then I told them I'm waiting for the setting to be made and they kind of had that "I'm sure" expression. It's highly frustrating! and you better bet that I chose to no longer work with those vendors. My sister has been married for almost 3 years now and is pregnant with their first baby, she JUST purchased her engagement ring.
That comment was out of line. An engagement ring is an extremely emotional purchase and in this case, it's a replacement to one that was STOLEN!. She was completely happy with the original, and had no one went and stole that set, she wouldn't be in all the frustrating situations she has been put in. It's been a horrid experience for her and I can not even begin to imagine how I would feel if someone went and stole my engagement ring. I'm not even sure if I could emotionally handle replacing it and for that I give Ame TONS of credit. It's a huge tasking.
And there is nothing wrong with wanting something to be what you paid for. What if someone took a Tiffany solitaire and completely smoothed out the emblem? I'm pretty sure the owner of that ring would be livid! I know I would be! Any time you get a designer item you pay for that emblem and stamp so it's not unreasonable to expect it to be there when it goes through SIMPLE resizing that was only supposed to be a minimal. It wasn't like the ring was taken up or down more than a few sizes.
Thank you, it has been pretty stressful. I can't get closure til it's done. And the more crap that comes up, the longer I have to wait for closure. It's bad enough that I have to worry about these people coming to my home and casing my house whether they have or will or not, but my space was violated. And that will take a while to get over.

I'm THIS close to killing my bf...
The ring is being delivered this morning! In less than an hour! It's my day off and so it made sense for me to stay home and not have him take a day off..... But I'm not allowed to open it... So I'll be home ALL DAY staring at the box trying to keep myself from not opening it.... The plan is that he will open it and have the ring and propose on his own..
But my own OCD tendencies wants to break open the box and make sure all the stone is eyeclean (I haven't seen it and I'm sure it is but i wanna double triple check under the loope cause I"m crazy like that), milligrain is even and basket fits and it's not set too high etc etc. He knows that i"m like this and so he just wants to watch me squirm.
Have you received any confirmation at all that Vatche has received the package? I just saw their caroline setting and it's beautiful. Even made me question my own choice. I hope that they are able to make it right.

then you can snap ONE photo and show us Because if it's NOT ok after waiting this long, the last thing you want is to have to wait to find out it's not right, run out of window to exchange/return, and send it back and wait more.
Vatche won't get it til tomorrow, he's gotta ship it today, we missed the outgoing yesterday and he wanted to talk to them before he shipped it. I just hope they will do it same day and send it right back!

Haha! That's what I said! I also told him that I could probably repackage it and he would never know.... I think he plans on proposing within the next week. We also are supposed to have lunch with my grandpa on Saturday and tell him about the wedding, so I'm thinking maybe before then? I'm really hoping it will come out okay. I've heard horror stories and even hearing yours is really scary to know or even think about.
I know! Had you not told me about the fiasco with Vatche I would have maybe doubted myself more. It's been a funny: "omg, should we have gotten it without the halo?" "maybe pave shanks?" "maybe forget tacori and go solitare?" "maybe platinum?" etc etc. I was super obsessive over it....

I thought I was going to be getting my ring on our dating anniversary as well - but it came and went without a bended knee and ring!! I was really disappointed LOL. whoops, do you have an inkling as to when the proposal will be? Will it be today so we can see the ring?
My instinct is saying Friday or Saturday morning... But he may just torture me until next week. If I do see the ring he might take longer... but if I do see the ring at least I can have pictures to gawk at! haha

"How about we go take a nice walk?" haha but I do want him to be creative and I want to have a nice proposal story to tell sooooo patience it is! My only stipulation is nothing public because I will say no or run away. WAY too embarrassing for me.
Kohl - I know, I can't believe your bf let you walk around and borrow it sometimes! (even though he did do the good old switch er roo to a bigger stone for you!) I've seen so many variations of the same tacori ring even though it's the same style. The halo seems to be sometimes very small and other time the milligrain is very well defined. Both are gorgeous but I want to see how mines it going to be! lol
He also knows that there isn't a chance that he could open this thing without me finding it. So once he cracks it open, he knows I'll find it... He is coming home early tonight from work to protect it from me. haha
My hands are getting so itchy to open! I've dusted, vacuumed, cleaned, laundry... etc etc to distract myself! haha

It's really nice how since most designer rings are hand made, each one turns out to be unique and different!!! I'll be looking for updates this weekend!!! But I know, my DF was bad! How could he let me wear it?? LOL okay, I know, it was mainly MY bad since I knew he couldn't say "no" to me.
