Plenty of threads on quota bags, including in different country's variables.

Hey there! I just got my Birkin 30 a couple weeks ago. I love it! I use it right now as often as I can, but I tend to carry significantly less than most people and fill my "empty" bag space with a cashmere cardigan. I feel like a Birkin 25 would be perfect for my everyday use since I'm 5'2'' and my SA knows I'd like one. That said, what should I know about getting my second quota bag this year? Should it be safe to expect at 1:1 spend? 1.5? There is more jewelry, shoes and rtw I want so that won't be an issue-- just not sure what to expect and any advice would be great. Thanks!
I would be prepared to spend the 1:1.5 ratio or more for a b25. And more if it's a highly sought after color.
Hi! Curious, I'm eyeing two watches both about $10k, would it be wrong to see if we could have them both transferred in so I can pick? Are there any negatives to this request? Thanks!
Anyone would hesitate to transfer such item due to the price point. And I hate to say it but depending on where you're at, they might not even bother if they know it's not a for sure sale. Communicate with your SA.

Please don't forget that these items are hand made and therefore are not perfect. Please don't let something as to missing one small stitch live rent free in your head.

I really do not accept that something being hand made can be an acceptable reason for something not being perfect. In many ways one could expect the quality to be higher.

honestly depends on the boutique and what color and leather. And these days it seems harder than ever to get a bag. Some people are spending 3-5 times a bag and still waiting a year plus later.

Why does my picotin have a missing stitch? Does that happen often? It just looks so uneven and its bothering me since i noticed it‍

If this is a brand new bag from store, I would not accept it. It really is not the quality we should expect from Hermes. And no... this does not happen often (if at all)

H does quality checks before releasing a bag and your SA should have also checked the brand new bag for flaws before they sell the item, so H does have QA in place and bags with missing stiches should (in theory) never have passed the QA and be released/sold

For a Picotin in this combo it would bother me as this area of the bag is exposed and the missing stich is visible can could be spotted, (maybe I am picky) so I would never have bought the bag brand new from store.

If second hand then I can tolerate it but I would expect a reduced price (due to imperfection) in a pre loved condition

Hope this helps

I really appreciate your response! I’m happy to hear that KOP is a great store!

I really appreciated how comfortable they made me when it came to asking questions and trying to figure out what to get. I probably spent an hour in there and they were so patient! I walked in only planning to get one belt and walked out with two since I had a great experience, and felt good about purchasing from them.

I will want a B or K maybe down the line but it’ll probably be a couple years later. I’m in my mid-20s and just starting my Hermes collection so I’m not looking to spend $10,000+ on one item at the moment. Maybe Birkin 30 for my 30th?

A little update on this, I've reached out to my SA at KOP to order a few items over a month ago but she never responded. In the end, I decided to go to a closer location to me in Greenwich to purchase the items.

I was also looking for a twilly but didn't find one I liked at the time. The SA there was kind and offered me her business card so I can check with her when new ones are coming in. I sent her a text that day thanking her for her help, and she responded immediately.

Although recently (a month later), I reached out to her and stated that I have been interested in the two-tone Calvi Duo verso card holder. I asked if she had came across one. I saw that she left me on "read" (meaning she saw my text). I thought that it wasn't a big deal, she's probably busy and the item might not be available. A week later, I decided to follow up and she left me on read again.

Is this normal behavior for an SA? I was expecting some sort of response to say if it's not available, hard to get, etc. but I got no answer even though she saw my message. Is she ghosting me? I'm not familiar with how establishing a relationship with an Hermes SA works but is it normal for them to disappear on someone or not respond? :confused1:

SAs don't have the time for casual chatting.
She responded to your curteous text in an appropriate way.
If she had ignored a request to source a Calvi Duo for you, that might be a different indicator.
If the reason for your texts was to establish a relationship, then don't waste your SA's time and don't think that you should treat an Hermes SA any differently to how you would treat any other shop assistant.

Believe me, the last thing I want to do is waste time with idle chit chat. I usually would contact my SAs when I need something and I know I’ll purchase it.

The only texts I had sent her was that “thank you” just to be polite and then second message a month later asking her for the item I wanted. Since she hasn’t responded, I was wondering if I hadn’t contacted her enough to ask for more items or visited again in the past month to shop?

I’ve always heard of people calling having an Hermes SA as having a “relationship” with one.

You did not state that you asked your SA to get you a Calvi Duo.
You wrote on here that you messaged your SA that you had been interested in one and asked if she had come across one. If I were the SA, that would not tell me that you wanted to buy one.
I know that is a subtle distinction, but you did ask for an opinion on the facts you gave and I tried to explain how your message might have received.
These are still difficult times, but do SAs need to be bothered with customers they have only met once and might never see again?
Trying to 'build a relationship' by text is not the way to go about it.
If you can't visit the store at the moment, wait until you can.

Hi,
I am looking for low key work bag for warmer months. I am thinking between Hermes Bolide Barenia and Hermes Garden Party in canvas. I would like to ask you which one will seem more practical? Thank you so much!

I haven’t seen it online in a long time so I figure it might have been a hard to get item which is why I mentioned that I’m interested and if she had seen one recently.

I don’t believe wording affected whether she responded or not, as I had messaged the other SA a while back that “I would like to buy an item” (and stated what the item was, along with a website link), and never received a response either.

For all the other luxury brands I shop at, I usually would let my SAs know I’m interested in/looking to buy an item, they would find that item, and I would purchase. It’s a pretty straightforward process. I’m not understanding why it’s so complicated with Hermes.

I’m not trying to build a relationship just via text either, I wanted to know if there’s an item available at the store so I don’t drive there only for them to not have it.

I’m looking to have a sole store to purchase my Hermes items so it’s not like I won’t ever show my face again. However, when I shop, I usually know exactly what I want so I’ll only go if they have the item or can get me the item. I don’t see a point in wasting their time or mine by going in without knowing what I want.
