What is the best website for picture authentication for a birkin with 24-48hour turn around? Any answer is helpful, sorry if this has been asked before, this is my first time posting in the Hermes forum. This will be my first Hermes bag. It's an older series, 2006
The only person I or any of the members really trust is @bababebi google her-she has her own website

Hi all,

I’ve been a loyal regular client at Madison for about 5ish years now and I believe it’s time to finally add an exotic bag into my collection ie. mini kelly or b/k 25. I’ve hinted my interest specifically in an alligator mini kelly in a fun color, but have yet to be offered one. It’s on my wishlist, but I always get offered other quota bags from wishlist (b/k 25 in seasonal colors), which I don’t mind/regret purchasing.

With that being said, I have 2 questions:
  1. In general, are exotic quota bags hard to come across by? Is there a higher spend needed in order to be offered? I’m not after classic colors because I much prefer seasonal fun colors and would probably turn down classic colors.
  2. And, is ostrich and alligator/croc equally difficult to get?
Thanks!

I got my first quota bag (rose tyrien ostrich mini kelly) during my first year shopping at Hermes. I find that it's easier to get an exotic than a non-exotic because not everyone want/can afford an exotic so they're easier to come by. Also before I got my B25 noir with GHW, I was offered a B25 noir touch with GHW 1 month prior. I'm glad I passed on the touch, but it gave me the impression that my SA wanted to get rid of the exotics first. Hope this helps.

Thats my experience as well with Hermes. Just like with Rolex, a plain submariner is hard to get, but a gold submariner you can get immediately.

In my experience, exotic skins are easier to get because of the price point

Did someone receive an Special Order but with restrictions? I mean, today my SA told me about the option of having an SO but only if I order a different bag than Kelly or Birkin (supposedly because I already have the two quota bag this year). I feel it a big weird, I was really excited about that SO and already told her about the SO combo I wanted for a Birkin

Do you give your SA’s name to anyone who asks? Lately people( casual friends) have been asking for her name and I don’t want to send her people begging for stuff but no intention is establishing a relationship… just curious how people handle this?

It always surprises me when people give out their SA’s info, especially to strangers. I would never give mine out, nor ask someone for theirs. It puts the SA in an awkward position because it infers that the new client expects preferential treatment. I mean let’s be honest, “can I get your SA’s info?” is almost always followed from a quota bag reveal; as if some magical SAs have unlimited bags at their disposal to give freely. And the SAs aren’t exactly hurting for customers these days, from what I’ve heard, they are annoyed by these random referrals and the pressure that ensues. Plus if the people you refer turn out to be entitled brats that cause a scene, it’s going to reflect back onto you. Seems lose, lose, lose to me.

Exactly!I even had a “friend” who called my SA ( she knew her name bc we discussed H products in passing)and asked for stuff and used my name. I was so annoyed and embarrassed Just out of curiosity how do you respond to the request for SA name.

My default is that I always say all of the staff at my store is great (which is true) and encourage them to make an appointment themselves.
