My SA has always said that he finds it frustrating when customers assume he is hiding things from them. He told me his tired of reminding people that the pandemic has affected stocks and if he had something special to offer he would. While he hasn't directed that frustration toward me, I keep that in mind rather than pestering him about when I will get a B/K. I continue to buy things I love as they become available and its much more relaxing than trying to calculate spend ratios (which I am sure I've exceeded at this point).

I say all of that to say, I don't think there is a fixed timeline. There is some luck involved from what it seems and patience is key.

Great question @blueraspberries

As I am at the beginning of my Hermès journey towards the opportunity to purchase a B, I have no understanding of the timeline. My SA, whom I love, has told me that I should be patient which I can be but I'd love to have some sense of how long I might wait: six months? A year? Two years? Is it a matter of time or all about spend?

I will say, in response to your question about whether another bag counts towards prespend @blueraspberries my SA saw my online cart, which I share with her so she can see the items that I love, and noted that I had a 24//24 in it. She suggested I hold off on that because I am waiting for a B.

May I ask why would a 24/24 purchase matter? In my location, you can just buy a 24/24; it is not quota and doesnt affect any quota bag wait, and I thought I saw a few on display for anyone to buy. . .

Yes I thought the same-although in UK they do limit the amount of bags you can buy in a short period of time-I had a client who purchased Kelly Ado, Picotin and Mini Evie within about 2 months and the SM said she would have to wait a couple of months before getting another bag...Those obvs weren't Quota bags but I wonder if buying a lot of non quota bags may swing bias towards someone else seeking a quota bag who has brought mainly from other categories over the past few months?
Who knows? :confused1:
edited to add the client in question was not actually seeking a quota bag but likes H bags generally.

Hi all,

I made my first Hermes purchase yesterday (a card holder), and when inspecting it, I noticed it was missing one stitch on the corner. It was the last card holder of the particular color combination in the store (display model) and the SA said it was cosmetic and not to worry about it. I'm having mixed feelings about this. Should I go back and ask if another store has this particular color combo, or is this truly cosmetic and I shouldn't worry about it?

Thanks!

Buying it should make you feel happy. If you are having mixed feelings about it, go back and politely tell your SA that it is bothering you and request for a new one.

Might be possibly be flagged in system (not by SM) as a reseller account no matter what non-quota bags purchased, as it’s too many in a short space of time. Believe it’s the same as online purchases on U.K. site. I agree with this guideline personally as it’s called leaving bags for others to have a chance to buy at retail and to enjoy. I too love my non-quota bags. :flowers:

Hello! I've always wanted to ask this but I'm a bit nervous to: I know now that there is a quota/limit of 2 special bags a year and I read that if one was hoping to score another bag in the same year, you'd have to go to France -- where the tally's don't merge. But is this true in all international stores? eg. is one able to get a Birkin or a Kelly from a different country in addition to the two bags you may have gotten from home? Many thanks in advance!

I started buying from Hermes late last year and was (pleasantly) surprised at my last visit that my SA said she has ordered a particular scarf for me and it is coming in. It was an item that I asked her to "look out for me" if it ever comes in. I was under the impression that they cannot order (unless it is jewelry, and you have to pay 50% in advance) for you, and stock are just allocated when they come in. So are the items actually orderable? What items are, what aren't?

TIA!

To add on to this, I've been lusting after a CDC belt and was told they're no longer made. However, my SA texted me the other day to say they were giving him the option of getting a CDC belt, with two color choices. I thought that seemed really unusual as well.

A store can't order a scarf from corporate, but they can sometimes get it from another boutique.

Go back-there's no such thing as "just cosmetic". You have paid for a perfect item and should expect to receive such- no questions asked. ( which doesn't mean you shouldn't be gracious about this when you do go back- always gracious, yet firm).
I'm sure they will be happy to take a return and get you a perfect one.

Thank you so much nymeria and showgratitude for giving me the feedback on what to do in this situation. I just politely emailed my SA and will let you all know how it turns out.

I am guessing they located 2 in existence somewhere? There was a short period recently when CDC belts were produced. Definitely new stamp as we saw them in stores, I think mostly Epsom if I recall correctly.
