Plenty of threads on quota bags, including in different country's variables.

Really???
That’s always been my understanding, I think it costs the same as matte niloticus.

We have people who shared the price of a Himalaya B in the 2020 price thread by the way

B25
11/29 Nilo Himalaya 57,500 USD

B30
6/23 Himalaya 48,000€
11/28 Nilo Himalaya $64,100 USD

@Mr.Ex (and everyone who would like to help), please help me critique my game plan at H! It’s a local store, not tourist hub, and a pretty small store. When I first book an appointment at the store with a SA, if I do happen to like the SA, ill spend around 2-3k and when checking out express my interest in one of the special bags, and make it a point to swing by the store twice a month, and reinstate my interests once I spend around 7-8k.

How do you usually go about deciding whether an SA is good? Would 7-8k present be about enough for a Kelly Pochette? How much would Herbag/picotin/other coveted items count towards prespend?

Great question @blueraspberries

As I am at the beginning of my Hermès journey towards the opportunity to purchase a B, I have no understanding of the timeline. My SA, whom I love, has told me that I should be patient which I can be but I'd love to have some sense of how long I might wait: six months? A year? Two years? Is it a matter of time or all about spend?

I will say, in response to your question about whether another bag counts towards prespend @blueraspberries my SA saw my online cart, which I share with her so she can see the items that I love, and noted that I had a 24//24 in it. She suggested I hold off on that because I am waiting for a B.

how much did you spend that year to qualify?

$5K not including quota bags.

Yes, I am certainly not special.

However, like many on this forum, I have spent well into the six figures during my total H lifetime/tenure (5 years thus far)…mostly bags, CDCs, and scarves. My SA and I have an open communication style that works for us. I have demonstrated my loyalty to her and the SM by only purchasing through them throughout the years. They have treated me very well as a result.

No, I am not in the market for a Himalayan anymore. After a lot of thought and soul searching, I cannot justify getting $65K-$70K enjoyment out of this purchase. Will have to admire from afar.

Deciding about an SA is easy. Do you feel like you enjoy shopping with them? Do you feel they are listening to you, being attentive in understanding your likes/dislikes/interests?

K pochette is difficult, more so than B/K or C in my experience. I still don't have one myself and I have spent many times over the 7-8k you are speaking of and I still have not seen one despite reiterating to my SA I would like one, however I have been offered and accepted a Kelly cut which I preferred over a pochette to get first. I had several quota bags before I got my KC.

Thank you so much! This is very helpful. If I make an appointment with an SA and don’t happen to enjoy them, is it fine if I switch to another one the next time I go to the store? Do I need to say something to SA #1?

I own a Kelly 28 (purchased from traveling, hence I’ve never had H experience w local store) and I would just really like a clutch from H. I think I prefer a pochette due to its shape, but thanks for telling me that it’s a long wait!

oh wow! What do you mean by open communication style? Would love to know more.

It really depends on your personality, the SA’s personality, and most importantly — LUCK . I got very lucky that we are a good match and that we are open, blunt, and honest with each other. It took a while to get there though (months). There was a lot of trust building along the way.

A good SA will recognise any game plan and play you for as much as they can, until you get disaffected and give up. But that was not the definition of a 'good' SA that you wanted.

my friend actually has an SA that doesn’t play any games, and make clear if you spend x amount of money then I can get you a bkc. I don’t think I want that though.

That sounds like Asia. Your friend knows where she stands and there is no 'game playing'.
Your question was specifically about a 'game plan' and I gave a thought about the dangers of that.
