Plenty of threads on quota bags, including in different country's variables.

I have a super petty question - do SA’s check out a client’s hands when they come in? My lifestyle is not conducive to maintaining mani’s and sometimes I do feel self conscious about it, even if I’m otherwise generally put together.
If they did require manis, I would not have my current collection.
Edited to add, my career in healthcare required no rings, bracelets and no nail polish to be worn, which would not have survived any scrubbing up during surgeries or other procedures for my patients anyway. And now having retired early, I am proud of my hands which have established my career and now take care of myself and my family. Please go on being yourself and enjoy shopping Hermes!

I'd like to know if anyone knows how much a non quota bag counts towards getting a quota bag. For instance, the bolide is just under 10k CDN, would this count significantly towards getting a K/B or do they not consider this purchase as favourably as a bunch of other non bag items totaling 10k?
In Asia where I’m based, I was told this is not counted

SA's are there to be helpful & I would think the last thing they would be doing is looking at "our hands"
to see if we had a mani or "our feet" to see if we had a pedicure when being handed a bag, a pair of shoes
or any other H item .

If you are concerned - emulate Grace Kelly - wear gloves - you could become a 21st century influencer - heaven forbid!

Aren't you the ideal Hermes customer then? They would be delighted to offer you items "pour le cheval ou le chevalier"!
I actually went in yesterday and took a close look at the selection of Eq items at my boutique and had a chit chat with a couple of the SA’s. They said the Eq items had really picked up in popularity lately (I’m in a fairly horsey area). I was happy to hear that because they are beautiful and well made. The breeches are especially lovely.

Equestrian absolutely counts! And after all, the saddle is quintessential H.
The saddles are wonderful and can last a lifetime with proper care. Just make sure to get it properly fitted to you and your horse though. I had one for a while and though it was wonderfully balanced, the pommel also had quite a steep rise and if I missed to a jump it would… umm… punch me in the undercarriage :amazed:

They are fantastic! And given the pricing, can definitely help the path to a bag ;)
