I am not sure if this is related but I have recently got literally blocked on the Hermes website because I was browsing too fast :confused1: and the website said that I am a robot! :confused1: I was just browsing multiple items at the same time (multiple browser tabs open) to compare the different colors side by side

You’re not alone. I’ve gotten those messages. I open each item that I like in new tabs in a row. After 5 minutes I’ll clear the cache and it will let you browse again normally. :)

I've been told straight up in Vegas stores: "Buy this and you can have one of the bags in the back." "This" usually meaning jewelry.
They don't have as many locals as some stores, so maybe they're a bit more transactional.

Interesting, it sounds like they’ll just give you whatever bag they have available not necessarily the bag you may want (i.e., a specific color). How long ago did you visit the Las Vegas boutiques and was told that?

i am bummed. I live in a city far from any boutique. I have no problem buying items from Hermes to get a bag. I want to genuinely like the items I buy. Maybe some scarves or wallet or a few dishes. Problem is I live far from any boutique so say I fly in and buy some items I have been wanting, great. Then how will I ever actually get the B I want. So if I get a call one day I have to drop my job and fly to get it? First world problem for sure but it saddens me that I can't just get it one of the times I happen to be in a city with an Hermes.

It pains me to read your post. Don't give up. Continue to work with a sa and if you haven't already let them know your desire for a b and ask how could it work with you not living close to the boutique. Work it as a team. Not sure where you live but if you go to Paris or by the sounds of some posts Las Vegas, maybe try there. :hugs:

Hi Mr. Ex, I love Hermes scarves and continue to purchase several every season. I love all things H and Petit H so much that I no longer purchase from any other design house. I am curious how scarves equate to the over all purchasing for quota bags? I read your posts about jewelry, watches, shoes, RTW ... my sa always show me the new season scarves. I'm wondering if it's because they know how much I love them or/and is it good for sa's to sell more of them also?

Grateful for all the time you are spending with us. Thank you!

I’m going to go to the London boutique for the first time this summer I think.
Do they have a leather sample book or something?
How are you supposed to know what you want?

Has anyone felt Epsom leather and does it have a plasticky feel to it? That’s something I’ve heard a lot on the internet/forum and I don’t think I want that.

Hi jelliedfeels! I have three k's and a wallet in epsom and love it. Durable, keeps it's shape. It was the first leather I wanted. Have gone to other leathers but still very fond of epsom. I don't think it feels plasticky. It's great you are going to the boutique to look at the leathers. In addition to the leather sample book, suggest asking the sa to show you items in the store that are in epsom and other leathers you are considering. Have FUN exploring!

I know it really depends on the size of the boutique, but for a small to medium sized Hermes store, how many quota bags does it receive in a year and how often? I have read somewhere that stores get delivery of quota bags every six months and they get allocated to clients, how true is this statement?

Directly pre pandemic was the last time, but not the first time by any stretch. I'd say first time was around 2014-2015 (also first time I visited a Vegas H store). I have to go to Vegas for business a lot.

@anum.ksoofi

not to override Mr. Ex's opinion, but this is what I understood (from various platforms and readings), one has to show loyalty and homage to the brand through consistent spending on other non-bag items in order to be offered a quota bag. Something to the likes of 1:1 or 1:1.5 spending for more popular items (eg. size 25)....

@Israeli_Flava Today I overcame my hesitation and said that I’d love to have the opportunity to purchase a B. I prefaced my request by acknowledging that I am not a big spender ($5K in the last six weeks or so on scarves and SLGs) and currently only have two H bags but would love another. She laughed and said ‘of course’ and noted my preferences. She said I’d have to be patient and that craie might never come but I might get bleu unit.
Then she asked if I liked porcelain!!!
Thanks for the nudge!

My SA placed an online order for me, and had it shipped to my home directly. When I received it, I saw that it was shipped from another H store with another SA - do you know if my SA will get commission from this order?

For online items that may be sold out soon, I'm also concerned that if I wait for my SA to place it, it may be gone already. Any suggestions to this?

I can't speak to the commission thing but I just send links to items that I like online and/or the reference #s to my SA and they will search / attempt to track down. Put holds if it was something the boutique ordered. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't in the sense they aren't able to get a hold of the item. My SA will just come back to me and let me know either way but it does feel like a waiting game and "what ifs" sometimes. Good thing there is not a shortage of items I want from H, and sometimes I find it a blessing in disguise for my pocketbook if they can't find something lol.

Great question! My SA has ordered a few things for me...yesterday I visited with her to look at two items, neither of which they had in my city's small boutique. I mentioned that I had not ordered them myself because I wanted to be sure she got credit for them and she implied that she would but I'd love to know for sure.
