Oh right!!! Sorry, I got distracted AFTER reading yours, everyone's scary stories! So my Q to you was, if in 'Luxe' category, this shouldn't/doesn't happen?! Are you still using them? (I don't have any Luxe items to off-load in any case!)
true! Thanks!! I didn't think of that. At least I have something. The more bad reviews about them I'm reading, the more im freaking out. I have to stop hahah
 
Tradesy and eBay have lots of bad reviews too:smile: content sellers / buyers just don't write reviews. i am sure they will fix it, it's their new initiative and they do try their best to make it viral, I'm sure they will refund you or will find your stuff!! will be waiting for good news from you

So sorry, how awful! The advice about the FedEx weight showing the box has to contain several items is good. Did you take photos or a video of a list of what is in the box along with the shipping label and box contents? I always do this to try to give myself a little protection (not sure how much it would help...)
The label is insured so I would state to them that they need to reimburse you if they cannot find the items and that it is their responsibility to make a claim through FedEx if warranted.

Thanks, they did respond that they will follow up with FedEx, essentially blaming it on them. As if fedex was to take out my expensive items, and put back the rest. I have pictures of the items I sent, including date codes, etc. But I didn't take a photo of the label with the items, figuring I had the label in my email if I wanted to track. never did it cross my mind that they could be so disorganized. My items weren't more than $2,000, but since this is a luxury service im sure people are sending it their $5,000 channels, etc. They can NOT run the luxe service same way they run the thrift site! Ugh, ill just wait and see what happens.

If you send in an item over a certain price they want you to ship on your own using insurance and they reimburse what you paid. That's what they told me, and that's what I did. This was for a Birkin. I didn't even ask about more expensive Chanels that I sent, but I'm now guessing they would say the same. They should make this clear on the website!

I just got some great news! There will be an upgrade coming any day now in the listing descriptions for Luxe items. They will include things like leather type, color name, style name, better explanation of the wear if present. I think this will help our rare and sought after styles to do even better. Now I just wish they would fix the “forever hidden in a cart” issue :)

Threadup essentially ended up blaming fedex. They said that all the items in the box get photographed the second the box is opened, and they simply had no record of those two bags being there. They offered me a $1,250 credit which is what they would've paid me if they ended up keeping my items. WAY low since the Chanel itself was $1,250, sold out worldwide and I mine was mint condition. Neverfull Damier MM I'd sell for about 650. Either way, I accepted (not that i had much choice) JUST to move on and put this horrible experience behind me. Then I had another surprised when I wanted to withdraw the money and saw the 2% fee :annoyed::annoyed:

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I would keep watching their site to make sure your items don’t turn up for sale.

I just wanted to add that if you’re on the website (not the app) you can absolutely see items that are in other people’s carts. It’s a checkbox at the top by the filter section. I’ve used it many times to favorite items and then buy them when they popped up available. I haven’t found that option on the app, however.

I also sent in a bag on 12/8 and it was supposed to be processed on 12/18... I emailed and got radio silence. This will likely be my last Luxe experience. My first bag went fine but the anxiety of not trusting them isn’t worth it!
