Out of the box and first time putting in my essentials!🤎 Front patterns are misaligned. If it was the old me, it surely would have bothered me! But I have stopped searching for the perfectly aligned and flawless bags long time. As long as overall shape and stitching are ok, I can live with minor misalignments. It was also so nice of my CA to send me the microchip info of my bag. I call it "birth certificate".😆View attachment 6086254

Looks absolutely perfect, congrats!

I want to get the Pochette Metis as my graduation gift. I have wanted this bag for a long time now, but I am stuck between the Reverse, Monogram, and Turtledove.

I have been looking at Fashionphile, Rebag, and other reseller websites. What years would you stay clear of?

I really love the reverse but I am worried about longevity I am just finding out about Canvas.

Would it be worth it to just buy in the store? I would love to get a deal but I do not want a headache. Thoughts, Thanks

I'd get anything 2020 onward. All my Metis (three total: two canvas, one empreinte black) are from these later years and I have had zero issues. They are all still perfect and I use them a lot, although I take care to not abuse them. A few items I've bought from 2019 and before have given me a headache with the glazing and here in Greece they don't repair most items. It's frustrating. My Reverse has held up wonderfully, it honestly looks new. Just to note, though, when I bought them, I put hardware protectors on all of them. I don't like scratches at all and I find it also helps with longevity. There are some things I now only buy directly from the LV boutique but the Metis would not be one of them. It's a popular bag and I don't see any reason why you shouldn't benefit from a good deal if you find a Metis from the past four years when all the issues of the past have been addressed successfully.

Thank you very much for your insight!

Have you bought it yet?

Congratulations on your graduation!
I am all for buying preloved in every aspect of my life. From cars and furniture to clothing. Better for the planet, and also for my wallet. However...
I bought my Pochette Metis brand new from LV. Though I love bags and SLGs very very much, I will never be in a position where I can afford a large amount of designer bags. I have thought long and hard on what bag would suit my wants and needs and this buying a LV will probably be a once-in-a-lifetime thing, so I decided to go for a new bag online instead of preloved. And I am really glad I did; the whole experience was incredibly nice. From delivery, to the packaging, and the kind note from an online SA. I am sure that going to a boutique would be even nicer. It really contributes to this bag marking a special moment in life, as it will for you.
So, if this is a special event, I would definitely consider buying new. If this is a bag you would cherish, and you can afford it: you don't need to get a deal, you are worth the full price bag.
Either way, the PM is a great choice. I hope you made your decision and love your new bag to bits! I highly recommend the empreinte ;)

I am the only one that was hoping the Murakami collection would have included the Pochette Métis in the MC drop? Would have been my dream bag 😍 but who knows what might happen in the future 🤞
Nope, you are definitely not the only one, I would love to have PM in MC as well. On the other hand, Sologne is very similar to PM, so that is maybe the reason why they did not include PM in this release. Cherries is a great suggestion, we will see...
