Hi there :)
The lock of my black PM opens way too easily. It’s like you just have to blow on it and it will open.
I find it open a lot of times and therefore only wear it x-body on my front now. My other PM closes more safely.
Is there any solution or idea (beside bringing it in to LV)?

Has it always been like this? Or has something happened maybe? With the first PM I received (online) I had the opposite problem; it just wouldn't open. So I exchanged. I have been reading a lot about the PM online before purchasing but I didn't read about the problem you are facing, sorry. So the only solution I can think of is bringing it in, indeed.

I bought a metis in monogram in secondary market. Its microchipped so must be after 2021. Do you think itll have the same glaze and cracking canvas issue like the ones made prior? Wanted to find out before I use it every day

I’m pretty sure they fixed this issue about 5-6 years ago. I waited until there were less reports of cracked glazing before I bought my PM at the boutique in late 2019. 6 years fast-forward and I have no issues with mine. Glazing looks as good as new. Mind you though, that I don’t use this bag daily and I rotate my bags, so, that may have made a difference in how my bag ages…

I’ve used mine for 6 months now and the leather is in perfect condition, as is the shape of the bag. The leather does get more supple but this doesn’t affect the structure of the bag.
Most wear and tear is in the hardware, the lock does scratch easily but to be honest, i’m not a huge fan of the shiny yellow gold so i don’t mind that. And there is obviously no difference between the canvas and empreinte as far as the hardware goes.
I love my empreinte metis!

The Empriente Metis is my most used bag! I have black & rose Poudre & they are very sturdy everyday bags.
The RP is 5 years old and the only noticeable wear is a small amount of rubbing from the crossbody strap which caused some color loss. Otherwise the bag looks just as good as the day I purchased it.
The black is 3 years old & id say it’s held up extremely well. The embossing is still deep and it’s held its shape nicely! It looks basically new to me.
I also have the reverse mono & I love it as a casual bag. It is also very hard wearing and should last you a long time. I can’t remember how old it is, but it still looks new.
Of your choices I’d recommend the black Empriente. I think it’s the prettiest of the two :)
