These bags in the smaller sizes are looking prettier by every uploaded pic

I especially like the black, white and blue combo. It reminds me of YSL:s Rive Gauche. Very French très chic

But I wonder how they will look being worn if you happen to not be on your best dressed up behaviour? Maybe they need a lot of other fashion statementing to look their best, like in the mod pics here? I mean, some bags look good/lift almost whatever somebody would wear with them, but can these "carry themselves"?

(By the way, there is a smaller one in green/blue/red/orange/black for sale on http://www.labelcrush.com/brand/balenciaga )

I see what you mean. I think it is also that most of the pics you see of these bags so far are in fashion shows or in the arms of fashion industry insiders who obviously dress up for a living. But I can see them with a t-shirt and a pair of jeans or denim shorts, particularly the ones with blue in them. I work in a serious corporate (strictly not fashion) sector and I can see them giving an edge to a suit and on atop of my bike... I have tried and tested my clutch and goes with everything. Of course a clutch is different, but I think they are versatile while at the same time a bit out there, a bit of a statement, very much in the spirit of the First at the beginning of time...

Good find on that bag, it is, they don't come out often in the pre-loved market. I just cannot do orange myself.

Congrats, mod shot please when you get it!

Thanks! I finally got the M size. I am a light packer and normally use small bags and clutches, so I thought I will want to use this bag when I am carrying around shoes and stuff, for shopping, for traveling, as a weekender...
Let's see if I stay with that size!

I envy women who can manage a small bag, I simply cannot do it. And I don't really carry that much...I should downsize my wallet, as there's never any actual money in it.

To me it looks like this bag really does best with stripes? Without the stripes it crosses into a bit of embarrassment bag territory for me because I guess it reminds me of bags I've seen in the past that I considered "uncool". The Rive Gauche feeling of the striped one on the other hand makes me think of Yves Saint Laurent, late 70's Paris and the high fashion of that era which I think was fabulous so it would just feel "right" for me to carry. Explaining this badly but I feel that some of Gvasalia's bags tread a thin line between avantgarde and ridiculousness.

Did you receive your black, white and blue one yet? It's my favourite as well. I don't need a special bag for work right now but I've been thinking about a Proenza Schouler PS1 in medium or large for when I do need to bring papers and books with me. I think a striped Bazar could work well for this too...

Still waiting for it and already double guessing whether I should not better wait for the pre-fall collection... The blue is basically the same as the one I ordered only with the addition of the sky blue (more versatile? Less literal Rive Gauche reference?). And I love the new color way with those earthy tones...

Btw, the PS was possibly my biggest dissapointment with a bag. I had the PS1 Small, years ago (I think they don't do this size anymore). Apart from the quality issues with the hardware (not sure if they are now solved) I didn't enjoy carrying that bag. I think it was something about the shape and the various pockets and compartments. All that set organization doesn't work for me, I prefer to sort things out with my own pouches. The leather was gorgeous though. At the time it was the heap of its popularity and I did not loose money selling after one year of use, but now I think it doesn't keep much value, something to consider perhaps when buying...
