I didn't mean to give the bag negative connotations for you with the Rive Gauche reference! To me that was a compliment to the Gvasalia bag as I think Yves Saint Laurent's work embodies what's most fabulous about Parisian fashion through the decades. But I agree that the pre-fall blue/white/black striped bag is also beautiful.
Thank you for the tips about Proenza Schouler bags. I'm sorry you didn't like the Small. I googled it and funnily enough it looks exactly like my all time favourite PS bag, the Pouch
The Pouch is, I'm very sad to say, also discontinued. I lurked for years on the PS forum before I finally bought my first PS recently, a Pouch (which was the last black new one in the EU probably so I was very lucky to find it). So far it's been working beautifully for me and I adore this little bag. But it's new, I don't use it every day so we'll see. I keep telling myself to see if the tiny screws need fastening but I always forget 
And yes, I remember a lot of talk about problems with PS bags which is ridiculous for any brand selling in that price range. But I would definitely buy another Pouch and there are still a few new out there. I actually wish PS would start making them again and in a few different sizes as I prefer shoulder strap to handheld. I also think they look better without the handle.

at what happened to you with your PS Small, I hope you were all right. Handbag nightmare! My Pouch is from 2015/2016 I think, I hope they have improved the hardware since the Small but I'll keep my eyes on it now.
. Here is the thing, after trying on the bags today I have decided on the size, S, and was also set on the color: the blue/black/white combo. I thought it would be very versatile while still being eye catching. Obviously other people thought the same thing, because I cannot locate an S in this color anywhere (there must be others who like this bag too!).
I'm actually looking for just this type of wallet.
