I have actually bought a canvas Hermes Herbag and a Gucci which are in my closet ready to be resold. Wasted an afternoon at Dior the other day and yesterday I found myself at LV trying the DA Croisette while a SA offered to tie a twilly around it and I looked at the mirror and it hit me: this is so NOT me. You know, that point when you research a purchase so much you end up filled up with input and info and loosing all perspective.

And this morning I woke up,and out of nowhere the thought came: a smaller Bazar tote. I checked the latest collection and immediately I knew. That is the bag.

I think maybe a reason I had not actually considered this before, even though I liked the bags from the start, is the virtual lack of input in PF. They kind of went off my radar! Kind of miss it too, not being able to check size comparisons, look at mod shots or get in depth reviews of the different colors, ... have to say, a bit puzzling this. They are so beautifully made. I have a Bazar pouch and is so gorgeous, recalling the old Bal leathers and I get compliments every time I wear it which is a lot.

So I don't expect much feedback but would love to have some views. Is the XS too small? Better the S? And what about the new mesh bags? Too beachy? Oh well...

See my link below with the B bags at Nordstrom, Vancouver. The Bazar has grown on me too, once you see it IRL it becomes more about the leather than just about the style, if that makes sense. The SA made a good point, she said that the bag carried looks waaayyy better than the bag in the store and I think she's right. I didn't care for the mesh one though.
I'm not sure which sizes are in the pic of the Bazar totes but I like the one that has the small pouch attached. The large one is just too much like a shopping bag while the smaller one's proportions just don't seem right to me. In the pic the two on the left are the mesh bags. Let us know what you end up with!

Thanks! I am reproducing this pic here, I hope you don't mind? It would seem it shows all 4 sizes: XS, S, M, XL. I am not a big bag person so I think M (the one shown with the pouch) is too big for me. But I agree the XS looks a bit out of proportion in this style. I am leaning towards the S.

I haven't seen the mesh ones in person. I will check tomorrow whether the shop selling Bal here has brought them. But I just love the color palette of the orange/yellow one. I just find it so summery, sharp and fresh... could see it going with everything.

I realize I am talking to myself, but never mind :biggrin:. Here is the thing, after trying on the bags today I have decided on the size, S, and was also set on the color: the blue/black/white combo. I thought it would be very versatile while still being eye catching. Obviously other people thought the same thing, because I cannot locate an S in this color anywhere (there must be others who like this bag too!).

So now the choice is among the following. Any advice welcome!

If you were interested in the medium apparently Neiman Marcus has one according to Modasens, see link. The peach and white is lovely but more of a summer bag.

Thanks muchstuff. I am in Europe, but the M is also available in the Bal site. But I am set on the S, M is too big for me. The online site seems to only give info on stock for the pieces that appear in the site (irritating). I have called a store in my country and the main one in Paris to no avail...

Did you see the second link? Looks like Bal Vegas, Honolulu and NY have the small...and if you click on the worldwide link Madrid has it.

These bags in the smaller sizes are looking prettier by every uploaded pic :smile:

I especially like the black, white and blue combo. It reminds me of YSL:s Rive Gauche. Very French très chic

But I wonder how they will look being worn if you happen to not be on your best dressed up behaviour? Maybe they need a lot of other fashion statementing to look their best, like in the mod pics here? I mean, some bags look good/lift almost whatever somebody would wear with them, but can these "carry themselves"?

i have seen them irl, and i tried them on (i think, i even posted pics somewhere?...) but they feel too square for me, not just the front, but the side as well, classic Bals (City, Work, WE, etc) they are square from the front, but they are wedged on the side, which makes them a lot more balanced for carrying on the shoulder. This one felt like i was holding a brown postal box under my arm, or, i had to squeeze it and de-shape. Hand carry is not my bottle of beer.
So, if you are like me, prefer carrying your bags over the shoulder, try it on before buying. Some colour ways look pretty good, but shape might be tricky ;) just mho :flowers:
