In my Bal dreams!
If it was he'd command his leather artists to make me two mini coin purses in a gorgeous true red, one in black and a City in Cognac with the leather of the older bags (Cognac is one colour I don't think looks good with the newer shinier leather as cognac is a "real" natural leather colour). They'd also make me a City in a true blue. All with Classic HW. Sadly for me, I don't think Gvasalia gives a hoot about my commands which may be good or there would be an extremely limited choice of Bal models and colours for everyone else to choose from. As you probably know by now, I have my favourites :yes:

I kind of like it, probably because I like the colours. But I wouldn't buy a bag like this, unless I already had a treasure trove of Bals and were buying them more for fun/rotation. As an every day bag I think you'd tire of it too easily. Then again I'm not exactly colour adventurous with most of what I wear. Except for hair sticks, red bags and a couple of other exceptions.

So I'm browsing Bals site, looking for a bag for my hubs (it's an excuse but works), when I come across this.
For some odd reason, I'm totally loving it? I'm getting the paper bag from Barneys flashbacks and I've always liked them.
Just not sure I'd spend 2k on it since I can get the original for free with a purchase..lol..

For the reasons you just gave. But you're not wrong for loving it! (My mind is just full of cheesy song lyrics about not being wrong for loving someone/thing or other after you commented on the Bazar City earlier :lol: )

You're right of course. Still, something about it is calling me.. errr.. for the hubs of course :angel:
LOL- sorry about the "being wrong love/hate" thing..lol. Isn't that the worst? When you get all sorts of cheesy songs stuck in your head.

I think those kinds of lyrics are more funny as it's so obvious from the context that everybody involved are clearly all b***y wrong for loving :lol:

Maybe it's just instant bag lust, which will pass. You know, if it wasn't for the Balenciaga logo, it would look very aesthetic and minimalistic. I have a little problem with logo overload.

You're right, I didn't even notice the Bal logo on the front. I mean I did, but I'm getting desensitized to it as I'm seeing it on just about every bag this season.

On another note- this my Tiffany tote. See the resemblance? Other than the Bal bag being a bit more structured, the aesthetics are pretty much the same.
I really need to broaden my bag horizons :-s

I really prefer the Tiffany tote, in my very humble opinion, being someone with a bag collection that would be unnoticeable next to yours. It's a lovely bag and I think I've seen it here on TPF in other colours as well. Or it was a similar model. Very classy.

Did you find the Bal SLG that was missing when you took the Bal family photo?

Thanks, I haven't used the tote in a bit. Gonna try to put it back in rotation this summer.

I only found one, my pencil m/u case. Still missing a coin purse and a click coin purse :hrmm:

Hmm.. what about the bag makes you think feminine? Is it the logo? The shape looks like any plain paper shopping bag to me, the kind you get at Whole Foods or Barneys.
Oh, and here's a pic of Barneys bag I was talking about. Looks the same to me..lol..

Not the logo, but thin straps as handles, imo, looks more appropriate for a gentle girle arm
don't get me wrong, not being sexist, but men's bags are usually made with wider/thicker straps, handles, it's more comfortable for a bigger man's palm to hold it

gottcha!

Speaking of handles. This bag has the most uncomfortable handles I've ever held. They're very wide, and rough. You'd get callouses just from holding the bag. Such a terrible design.
It's now on sale at Barneys for under 1k, but I can honestly say I wouldn't take it for free.
