Any tips on how I can clean the vachetta? I bought this bag used online and while its a great deal for what I want to use it for, I would def be a lot happier if it was cleaner lol
I would really appreciate some feedback before I feel forced to order the LMB Kit as it's expensive and there's so many mixed reviews. Thanks loves!

Alcohol-free baby wipes are good, but after all I've tried I have to recommend the LMB Vachetta Cleanser. No need to order the whole kit, though! Save money and just buy the cleanser. And when you get the cleanser, avoid using the cut up pieces of "miracle sponge" that are included...they are suspiciously similar to Mr. Clean Magic Eraser which is far too harsh on vachetta.

I will be joining this club soon. My 2nd pre-loved item is on the way. Already ordered some products from Amazon so I will be ready to work on her when she arrives next week or the week after. Kind of excited and nervous at the same time.

Sorry I'm just seeing your awesome reply now! I ended up getting the Apple set and cleaned it yesterday. It defiantly made it look better :)

Hi does anyone know a good way to clean the fabric around the zipper? And the best product to use? View attachment 2972446View attachment 2972445

I have used Tide stain remover pens with white fabric (on an Epi Ivory Zippy Wallet). It does help. You could also treat the stains with any sort of non-damaging stain remover. I'd just put it on a Q-tip and gently work on the stain, then finish with a damp cloth. Good luck!

Thanks! I'll give it a try & let you know how it worked out.

Here's my story: After searching for a Graffiti Speedy for two years, I was unable to find one in my price range in the condition I desired. So I looked into vachetta replacement and decided that was the way to revitalize a well loved bag. After finding him on eBay, I dropped him off at my boutique. Three weeks later, he was back and stunning. Here are the before and after pics.

Hopefully this Graffiti Speedy's story can inspire others to breath some life back into a forgotten LV.

Whoa!!!❤️

Yessssss!! So beautiful!! So you used the Apple Garde cleaner on the vachetta too? Or just the conditioner? What kind of sponge/cloth did you use!!! So pretty! I want to clean my Keepall with Apple Gard, but do I use the cleaner or conditioner? Lovely bag babe!! ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks love! [emoji8] I went to the linen store and bought a pack of 100% cotton small hand towels and then saw that the cleanser and conditioner combo came with the same little towel lol Anyways I applied the cleanser with those towels and waited a couple of hours for it to dry. I then applied the conditioner with another towel. One warning: though it did a good job of cleaning and conditioning, it did darken the vachetta a lot.

Thanks darling!! Nice! I don't think I have that cloth anymore, I know which one you mean. Lost it somewhere who knows where haha! But nice, I can see if I find some at the linen store here too! Great tip!!☺️ To be honest, yes your bag has darken a liiiiittle but not too much! And now the patina is more even! Looks amazing! I have a preloved Keepall that I just bought. She is really really light still (she's from 2009!!!!) because the nice woman I bought it from never used it or treated it. But it has watermarks. Although it looks "new" I don't like the pinkish color the vachetta has in the beginning, specially with watermarks! Yours had the same thing going on the before pic. Now your bag looks flawless! So I will try this now and take a pic in the morning for you when it's dried a little!😊😊😊 thanks again!! x

Thanks, pretty happy with it. Was surprised how good it turned out. I used Brasso

There's a video on YouTube where a woman is restoring a speedy 30. She made a homemade chemical free cleanse for the lock and key (she advised not to use the mixture on the bags brass because it's runny and can run down on the bag. Mixture: vinegar and baking soda! She cleans it right there and it looks brand new! Less harsh and chemical free! Haven't tried, but really want to when my locks oxidized next times Your lock looks gooood too thought! Good job! 😊

Can't wait to see! I've been searching for a preloved keepall too. Honestly I think it darkened my bag a lot but good thing I like that look ;)
Go easy on the conditioner. Oh and I forgot to mention that I used blue magic on the hardware. [emoji8]

I think she's a Iittle more even now! I feel a little bad for putting anything on her. I usually don't. But she was preloved and had some stains. The previous owner never did, and I wasn't planning on doing it either, but I'm so scared of new watermarks and stains on her, so I did! 😳 awe... But I know I feel better I did too!! ps: the lighting is different from hers and mine of course. But you can clearly tell from the top pic that her strap was rarely worn but the bag was. Now I think they match more. What do you think...? 💓
