I recently won this 2008 PM NF and already nervous about the condition. Once received, I can post more pics but wondering how should I renovate it and the leather look better? It will be a gift or my DD next year and I want to make it look as nice as possible.

I am also worried about the inside since I did not see pics.

Here is the original listing and pics from the listing:

strange, the pictures here look very different to ebay pictures? The link to ebay was a NF PM in good used condition, here is very used condition? are these two the same bag?

Question for everyone. I just got a vintage Houston to dye. It's in beautiful condition for dying, but there's one concern with it. It sounds like there may have been something between the lining and the leather (presumably to help it keep it's shape) that has maybe disintegrated. So when I move the bag around, you can hear particles shifting around. Anyone have experience with this or ideas on what to do? I'm guessing my only options would be to leave it or remove some of the stitching to get it out. I'm open to thoughts!

Yeah, I know what you meant, I would not touch it just put a cardboard piece on the base and using it.

I picked up my repaired speedy tonight after work. She looks like a new bag! The sales associate said she could put it on the floor and no one would know she’s 22 years old [emoji173]️I’m so happy plus she came in under the budget! I was quoted $595 and was charged $540 for exterior vachetta replacement!View attachment 4179335View attachment 4179336
Looks beautiful! I love the classic style Speedy!!

Sorry dear friend, please let me ask: if you buy the old bag for around USD 500 and than pay USD 540 for repairing ...I guess it is better to buy the brand new bag for USD 1.020 ... or I didn´t pay attention for somewhere?

That is a good question.
The main reason I went with the repair route was that I liked the older brass zipper and thicker canvas on the vintage speedy. I purchased my speedy from Japan for $300. The repair was $540. I have a vintage bag with new vachetta that I love! I plan to go this route for the Petit Noe as well. I have LV bags I have purchased new from the boutique but there are particular models that I like vintage due to construction, hardware, vachetta, etc. The repair route isn't for everyone but it works for me. Hope that helps.

Hello all! I'm trying to join the rescue club but needed some advice. I'd like to purchase a vintage cross body - Im thinking St Cloud, Chantilly or the Cartouchiere. I will apologize in advance if this was posted elsewhere but can anyone share their experience on rescuing these bags and the price it cost? Also which would you recommend for a rescue? TIA.

Hi! I won this speedy from an eBay auction (Japan seller) and honestly didn't zoom in enough to see this particular photo [emoji20] Do these white marks look like canvas peeling? Help! Haven't paid yet but since I won already looks like I have no choice.

If peeling, is it something that can be repaired?

Thanks in advance [emoji173]️tapatalk_1537239081831.jpeg
