I have a swollen and badly bruised hand from just removing my jade bangle. My daughter had to help me take it off. I’ll put it back after I lose the dreaded Covid-19.My hand hurts but I’m missing it already!

I hurt for you just thinking about it. Hope your hand feels better quickly.

Don't know if you had tried this but maybe for future reference ... I was told to put a sheer stocking over my hand OR lather with lots of lotion (lotion can be washed off jade right away) but be careful taking it off for it will be slippery so do it over carpet/soft surface. These ideas I heard from my jade dealer and actually from other non-jade jewelers also.

So it arrived. It is not completely what I was expecting... It has a green tinge and I thought it was completely white. What do you guys think?

The good this is it fits the wrist quite nicely since it isn't as bulky as the other two bangles. Would probably pair up nicely with the other jadeite pieces too.

The jade actually looks pretty. From the pic it looks pale minty green to me. But if it looked white from the seller’s site and it’s what you would like to have perhaps you can return? How wide is it btw?

It could be the lighting but is the bottom metal on the photo yellow gold (vs the white ones inside and on the top part)?

I think it's gorgeous. Love to see photo of it paired with your other bangles. BUT if it's not what you really expect it to be, can it be returned with full refund? BTW, are the hinges in steriling silver?
It can be returned for a full refund. The hinges are sterling silver. I'll most likely keep it, since I do like how it compliments the other pieces.

The strange thing is I was checking it out in different lighting and sometimes it does look white ( see pic below). It's all silver hardware on the bangle and it is 11mm wide.

How many mm can one size up for a D shaped bangle without it being too large and out of place? My regular size is 54mm (need soap and water to put on with slight soreness) but I’m looking at a bangle that’s 57.6mm. Would that be too large?

I think around 3mm is maximum for me... But you must take into account the width. My experience is the wider the bangle, the tighter the fit should be. The recent one I bought is 55mm and slimmer (11mm) than the other bangles, it feels and looks proportionate. The other jadeite bangle i own is also 55mm but 15mm width. This one does feel a touch large on my wrist.

Wouldn’t the 15mm be harder to put on and therefore have a snugger fit?

Looks like your new bangle is a chameleon :) Enjoy in good health should you decide to keep it.

Btw here’s the video of the lady who had a bangle made for her from a slab of jade. She broke the videos into different parts. Here’s Part I.

Here is an example. Visually the left one seems bigger on the wrist compared to the one on the right, but the inner diametres of both bangles are the same. These are both 3mm bigger than my 'proper' size.

Those are beautiful! And yes, I understand what you mean visually that the thicker one looks larger. I probably won’t exceed 14mm wide as I find that it takes up too my room on my arm along with Watch.

Yes, that's a good way to describe it haha. I'll definitely watch this over the weekend. Thanks for sharing!
I have to admit, the dear furry sweetue at the bottom of the pic stole my attention away from the jade bangles
She follows me everywhere. Lovesss the attention this one...

Thanks! Slim bangles are more versatile and you can stack them. Are you eyeing a potential piece?
A couple of recent photos of these bracelets/half-bangles/bangle. Thank you for indulging me.

Lovely pieces pureplatinum! What stone is the pink coloured bangle? Is it rose quartz?
